The Toyota Kiwi Cup Tour is bringing the America’s Cup to MBSC on Monday 2 September from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
This nationwide tour will give our members the chance to see the world’s oldest sporting trophy, the America’s Cup and have a photo taken with it! There will be other activities onsite during the visit, so bring the family and show your support for Emirates Team New Zealand thanks to the Toyota Kiwi Cup Tour!

Well done to our MBSC team that have been selected for The Kiwi Cup regatta that is being hosted by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS). The regatta will be held from 30 September - 4 October.
We are also extremely excited to announce that the America's Cup will be visiting our very own club on Monday 2nd September. More details on the event to follow!
The team representing MBSC for the regatta is Toby Dunn, Gretal Satterthwaite, Flinn Olsen, Sam Clarke and Emily Turner.

Josh embarks on the Men’s Winsurfing finals series tonight currently sitting in the Bronze Medal position after the fleet racing.
Erica starts her bid for a medal as the Mixed Multihull series gets underway tonight.
Murrays Bay Sailing Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Keith Elliott - a true stalwart of dinghy sailing in NZ. Keith will be remembered by each and every one of our members, whether by way of their Keith Elliott built dinghy or advice or the sale of gear from Keith and Kathie from their SailOne store or iconic van at regattas around the country.
Thank you Keith for your contribution to our sport and we will miss you in the boat park.

Auckland Junior Winter Sprint Series
Congratulations to members Seb Menzies for 4th at Junior 49er worlds and Blake McGlashan 13th in the 60 boat fleet - with their Kiwi teammates flying on the last day to claim the silver medal!
Congratulations to our MBSC sailors on their strong performances at the 2024 Optimist North American Championship in Puerto Rico in challenging wind and swell.
Hamish Brown finished an amazing 12th overall in the 180-boat competition - it’s been a long time since a kiwi reached such highs at NAMs! 🔥
Greta Hutton finished an impressive 8th girl and 40th overall 🔥
Arthur Rebbeck finished his time in the Optimist at 87th overall 👊
Their teammate, Philippa Wiltshire (GBC), was 116th overall.

An epic effort by all our MBSC sailors representing NZ 🇳🇿 on the world stage at the 2024 Youth Sailing World Championships at Lake Garda 🇮🇹.
Our team finished with the following final results:
5th overall - Zach Stibbe (ILCA 6) 🔥
14th overall - Tessa Clinton (WBC) & Jess Handley (girls' 420) 👊
17th overall - Cam Brown & Alex Norman (boys' 420) 👊
23rd overall - Chloe Turner (girls' ILCA 6) 👊

A great day for our ILCA team at youth worlds with Zach climbing up to 4th overall in touch with the medalists and Chloe made a big jump up to 14th overall in the large 50 plus ILCA boys and girls fleets! All to play for with 3 races remaining for medals!!
In the 420s both teams slipped down 1 place overnight with Cam and Alex now in 13th/24 and Jess (with Tess) in 16th/19. All the best for your last races in Garda!
The NZIODA NAMs team has finished training in Puerto Rico and joined the opening ceremony this evening.
We wish Arthur, Greta, Hamish & Tiago (Coach) well as they head into racing tomorrow (Tuesday NZ time).

The 2025 New Zealand Wingfoil Championships will be held on March 7th - 9th at the Wakatere Boating Club.
Save the date in your calendar as it is going to be an exciting weekend of wingfoiling.
There will be various racing divisions to cater to all levels including a ‘Social Fleet’ where the aim is to make the races as fun and accessible as possible!
Thank you to Wakatere Boating Club for hosting the third NZ Wingfoil Championships and we are looking forward to a fantastic weekend with the wingfoil community.

The NZIODA team competing in the IODA North American Championships with Hamish Brown, Greta Hutton and Arthur Rebbeck (MBSC) and Philippa Wiltshire (GBC) have arrived in Puerto Rico where they have been joined by their coach MBSC’s own Tiago Brito to begin training in the trade winds and swell.
We wish them fair winds when the competition begins on the 15th of July.

At the half way mark with 6 qualifying races complete, Cam Brown and Alex Norman are currently in 50th position from 110 boats at the 420 Europeans in Slovenia - after the elimination series they are in the 37 boat silver fleet - we wish them well for their finals series over the next 3 days.
Over in Germany the ILCA 6 Europacup has begun - with Zach Stibbe making a statement start holding 4th overall and Chloe Turner sitting in 53rd spot in the 100 boat mixed fleet with Olympic Women competing. All the best Zach and Chloe!

Competing at Kieler Woche this week ahead of the Youth Sailing World Championships next month, Zack Stibbe moved into 4th overall at the end of qualifying in the ILCA 6 (Open) competition. In a fleet of 158 boats Zack is well positioned in the race for medals as the fleet moves into the finals series from tomorrow.
