Running out of entertainment ideas for the kids over the holidays? Bin Inn's playdough recipe is a great way to pass the time. Pick up the ingredients at your local Bin Inn!

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1 cup Salt
2 cups Water
2 teaspoons Oil
Food colouring (use your favourite colours!)

Instructions

- Mix all of the ingredients except for the food colouring, into a saucepan.
- Cook over a gentle heat until the mixture holds together.
- Remember to keep stirring or it will stick to the pot.
- Once the dough has cooled, knead it on a floured surface and divide it into small balls.
- Add a drop of food colouring to each ball and mix well.
- Store in airtight containers.

Note: If making only one colour, you can add the food colouring when adding the water to the saucepan.

Feeling the cold or sore from winter sports? Why not try making your own wheat bag?

What you'll need
- Two pieces of cotton fabric
- Fabric Scissors
- Sewing machine or needle and thread
- Wheat
- Optional: essential oil drops

Step 1: Cut two pieces of fabric. Our dimensions are 40cm x 15cm but you can adapt this to any shape or size you desire!

Step 2: Sew the pieces together, leaving one side open.

Step 3: Turn it inside out.

Step 4: Fill it with wheat and optional essential oil drops.

Step 5: Sew the open side shut.

Step 6: Enjoy your homemade heat pack!

To use: Heat in the microwave with a cup of water for 1-2 minutes or alternatively chill in the freezer and use it as an ice pack.

Get your baking ready for ANZAC day with this Anzac Biscuit recipe.

100g Butter
1/2 Cup Raw Sugar
2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
2 Tbsp Boiling Water
1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Coconut
2 Tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
2 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds
3/4 Cup Rolled Oats

1. Place butter, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan and melt over a low heat.
2. Once melted, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Dissolve the baking soda in boiling water and then add to the mixture in the saucepan.
4. Mix in the flour, coconut, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and rolled oats. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
5. Roll mixture into balls. Place on lined baking trays, allowing room for biscuits to spread.
6. Flatten biscuits slightly with the back of a fork.
7. Bake at 180°C for 12 minutes or until golden.
8. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
Makes approx. 16 biscuits.

You can change out the seeds for dried apricots, raisins, sultanas, cranberries, or other dried fruits.

Planning an epic New Years Eve platter? Bin Inn's Dukkah recipe will be a crowd favourite! Pick up the ingredients at your local Bin Inn Howick

Ingredients
1/4 Cup Sesame Seeds
1 Tbsp Coriander Seeds
1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 Cup Hazelnuts
100g Almonds
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Salt
Pinch Chilli Powder

Instructions
Lightly toast sesame, coriander and cumin seeds in a heavy based fry pan. Transfer to a plate to cool.
Lightly toast the almonds and hazelnuts separately.
Leave to cool.
Place all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs or to desired texture.
Store Dukkah in an airtight container.

To Serve
Serve the Dukkah in a small bowl along with a bowl of olive oil and fresh bread. Dip slices of bread or toasted crusty bread into the olive oil and then dip into Dukkah.
