What a fantastic night at Block Party in Wanaka! Organised by RIPE and attended by 800 lively guests, this first time event was a hit.

Set in a stunning location with great weather, spirits were high with attendees. Our Allied team were on top of their game, ensuring every detail from food vendors to stall tents - was managed to the highest standard.

Meet Peter, known to most of us as Andy, a well respected and valued member of the Dressmart Hornby team for the past 8 years.

Andy’s career journey began in the hospitality industry, where he worked as a hotel assistant and food and beverage manager. He then spent two decades in the casino world.

Fast forward to today he is our go-to man at Hornby Mall as the familiar friendly face always willing to lend a hand and training new security guards, ensuring they’re well prepared for their roles.

Andy’s approachable nature and extensive background make him a core part of the team and a true asset to both the mall & Allied Security. Keep up the fantastic work, Andy!

Fashion was the talk of the town in Gore on Saturday at the 36th annual Hokonui Fashion Design Awards held at the Gore Town and Country Club.

Designers from all over the country travelled to showcase their stunning garments on the catwalk. We were honoured to provide security for this prestigious event, our team worked hard behind the scenes so that all attendees could enjoy the amazing talent and creativity in a secure environment.

Based in Dunedin - Sergey, Rod, James, Norman, Macey, Peter and Raeleene handle a wide range of number crunching responsibilities. Collectively, they bring an impressive range of experience, with tenures ranging from 2 years to 12 years with Allied.

From managing payroll and overseeing accounts payable and receivable to supporting our accountants and financial controller, they ensure the smooth running of our financial operations.

Last week, our managers from across the country came together in Auckland for our annual get together. The meeting was filled with insightful discussions, strategic planning, and a shared commitment to enhancing security for all our clients.

The weekend was wrapped up by enjoying the action packed All Blacks vs England match at Eden Park on Saturday.

A massive congratulations to our Security Officer Bing Kenny, who has been awarded the The New Zealand Security Association Saved A Life Medal for his incredible bravery and quick thinking.

Bing fearlessly intervened during an attack, pulling a young person away from the victim and securing a dropped knife. His actions not only stopped the assault but also ensured the assailant was restrained.

After the incident, Bing remained calm and composed, checking on the welfare of the victim, staff, and members of the public in the immediate area. His dedication to the safety and well being of others is truly commendable.

The Allied Security team are extremely proud of Bing's heroic efforts and extend a congratulations to all recipients of the NZSA Saved A Life Medal.

Meet Stu, our Operations Manager based in Tasman. You'll find Stu across all areas of the region whether it be Takaka or Kaikoura and everywhere in between.

Stu's journey with Allied began in 2017 as a doorman in Queenstown. With a security background dating back to 2013, he has worn many hats, from events crowd controller to MSD site security.

Previously the Operations Manager for Central Otago, he then moved with his family to sunny Nelson and has been enjoying his new backyard ever since! On the weekends Stu spends his time shouting on the sidelines coaching the Tahuna Football Club.

As a dedicated leader, Stu is always ready to support his staff and build strong client relationships. Stu says the most rewarding part of his role is seeing event planning come together smoothly and knowing that he's created a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Our Retail Security Management team recently attended a meeting between Auckland Police and CBD security providers, aimed at identifying opportunities to reduce crime and improve public safety perceptions in the CBD.

Numerous positive and impactful ideas being identified and explored during these discussions. These ideas will form the foundation of our collaborative efforts moving forward, working collectively with the New Zealand Police.

We look forward to working alongside the New Zealand Police to achieve their strategic goals of ensuring that all New Zealanders not only are safe but also feel safe. Our joint efforts aim to create a sense of security and well being throughout our communities.

Our Otago team braved the chilly elements over the weekend for the Dunedin Midwinter Carnival, marking our third year supporting this fantastic event. The Carnival is one of the most spectacular and accessible community events held in Dunedin which aims to celebrate our distinctive seasons in a creative and positive way.

Held over two days, our team provided an exceptional level of security and customer service, receiving a high standard of feedback from event organisers who appreciated the high standards maintained by our team.

It was all go in Queenstown last weekend, where ice hockey fans flooded to Queenstown Ice Arena for an action packed 3v3 showdown event. Our team were on hand ensuring safety and smooth operations from Saturday morning well into the evening.

We proudly provide security for the NZ Ice Hockey League throughout the regular season and finals. Our team not only enjoys the excitement and energy that come with every game but also take great pleasure in engaging with the enthusiastic fans who make each event special.

Last week our Corporate Security team was deployed at the Auckland Museum for the special visit of Chinese Premier Li Qiang to New Zealand. This high profile event, attended by both New Zealand government officials and the Chinese Premier, required extensive security measures and thorough coordination.

Our team's professionalism was met with praise from event attendees, who appreciated the safe and secure environment provided. It was a privilege to be involved with such a significant event and we thank all of our team on duty for their efforts.

Despite encountering a bit of wet weather, our Waikato team, along with thousands of enthusiastic attendees enjoyed an unforgettable weekend at Fieldays.

From exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations to the wide range of food stalls and exciting activities, Fieldays showcased the best agriculture and innovation in New Zealand.
