I thought this worth the share and the read, especially the
“A person hears only what they understand”
So many times we come away from reading an article and we have retained nothing😊
"A person hears only what they understand."
✨ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
There are so many times within lessons I have these little 'ah hah' moments. Where by I remember years ago someone trying to teach me something in a lesson and I just didn't get it or it simply just went straight over my head. But then in a lesson now it clicks, I get it! (......many, many years later)
I have grown into the rider who understands now.
So this quote really struck a cord with me and it applies to so much in life and in particular with our horses. You don't know what you don't know and at times the learning process can be really challenging.
But challenges are where we grow and where we develop into the person we are wanting to become. So embrace the 'stretch' zone and lean into the discomfort of not knowing the answer, it's ok if you don't understand now, keep learning and keep growing.
Sometimes we need to hear things five, six or even more times before we are ready to hear it.
I think the key is learning to enjoy the not knowing and enjoy the discover of learning what you need to know. Even if that takes a long time.
So keep surrounding yourself with those that do know the way and those that do support you and be ok with not knowing the answers. 💪💕
We all need a boost😀
Feeling a little run down and want to get on top of it?
Try these 3 simple tips to support your everyday immunity:
1) Eating well - yup, this one again! A nutrient rich diet with lots of fruit and veg is the best support you can give your body.
2) Sleep - poor sleep and stress lead to a build up in cortisol, which takes a toll on your immune system and nutrient stores, so combine eating well and quality sleep to give your body the energy it needs.
3) Exercise - it helps to increase serotonin and immune cell production, to make for a happier, healthier you! And, when you need a little extra help to get on top of things, our go to is Spirulina + Vitamin C powder - great for immune support and antioxidant protection, with an energy boost from Spirulina!
The feel of the breeze on your face is pure magic in these times.
The ocean is everything I want to be. Beautiful, mysterious, wild and free 🌊
You will see this new packaging filtering through from Lifestream, nothing has changed with the ingredients, just the packaging.
It's no easy task to package, protect, and ship our precious ingredients around the world - and all of that while minimizing our waste & carbon footprint!
We chose to shift all our packaging to a more renewable source this year, and moving to a plant-based plastic just made sense.
Here is why we selected Sugar Cane plastic for our new look:
PLANT BASED: Made from a renewable source, making it a better and more sustainable way to make plastic.
CARBON NEGATIVE: As sugarcane grows, it removes carbon from the atmosphere.
RECYCLABLE: Our sugar plastic bottles are also 100% recyclable through kerbside collection in NZ, so they can be remade into new bottles.
SUSTAINABLE: The sugarcane plastic used for our packaging is sustainably and ethically sourced from Brazil as a byproduct of the sugarcane industry.
We have also switched our labels to paper labels & biodegradable inks.
This is a logical step in protecting what mother earth gives us. This is a journey, commitment & promise to a better world.
D Day.
"D Day" is Vitamin D per day, studies are indicating vitamin D deficiency is becoming a world wide problem. Where do we get vitamin D from, mainly exposure to the sun, but this is now limited as we stay more indoors and "slap on the sunscreen" (this is not encouraging you to leave the sunscreen out of your daily routine). Foods such as Alfalfa, chlorophyl, liver, egg yolks, all contain some vitamin D, just not enough to be of use.
Vitamin D is essential in promoting healthy bones, helping out our immune system, helping to reduce the risks of infections, helping us with glucose metabolism, just to name a few.
Calcium absorption into the bones is helped with the friendly hand of Vitamin D.
Vitamin D is even known to increase white blood cells that kill off bacteria, it may increase production of anti-microbial compounds that protect our respiratory tract aginst infection.
Muscle weekness may also indicate a lack of Vitamin D.
There are two types of Vitamin D:
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), manufactured from Lanolin which comes from the wool fat of sheep.
Vitamin D2(Ergocalciferol) is the vegetarian form manufactured by ultraviolet radiation of yeast.
Which of the two has been proven to be more potent/effective, Vitamin D3
Daily intake of 1000iu per day will lead to better levels with a consult with either your Doctor or Health Professional, may see you take an increased dose.
Take care everyone, will be back with another wee snippet later.

Not a truer word spoken, you never really know what is going on in another persons life.
I came across this post recently and thought I would share with you. Couldn’t have said it any better, especially when some are struggling with how they fit in this “new” world of ours. Warmest regards to you all.
“Sometimes I think I’ll never fit in.” said Rabbit.
“Maybe you’re not meant to fit in.” said Bear. “Maybe you’re meant to stand out.”
