It's that time of the week again, ! Pictured here in 1937 is Dennis Nathan, son of David and Simone Nathan. We don't have too much context about this image other than 'tennis players' - but we must say, we are taken by the tennis fashion of the time!

, debutante ball edition! Pictured here is Miss Jacqueline Nathan (daughter of David and Simone Nathan) at the 1929 Vice-Regal ball in Auckland. 💐
A viceregal do was an excuse to put on airs, graces and a new outfit, and to present young debutantes to society. They were fashionable affairs, and we can see that Jacqueline showed up and showed out with her beautiful frock, bouquet, and classic 1920s-30s hair style!

If you have an eye for detail, you might have noticed a few nods to the history of the Homestead in and around the building. But if you've missed these, we're highlighting some for today's !
Pictured here are three references to the Nathan family. The first image shows the exterior of the building, featuring a bronze plaque with the inscription 'D N 1925,' which stands for David Nathan and marks the year the Homestead was built.
The next two images are from the interior of the Homestead - one of the foyer's fireplace mantle and the other of the glass doors leading into the foyer.
Even though the Homestead is currently undergoing restoration work, we can't help but showcase our beautiful building!
💥 POW! 💥 SMACK! 💥 KA-BOOM! 💥
Yesterday, we had our Comic Book Art school holiday workshop with the amazing Renee Bevan. Tamariki were tasked with creating a superhero origin story, and design a super-sized comic strip. The results were fantastic - check out some creations here 🤩
