Finding a love for science in the hearts and homes of families all over New Zealand has never been more important. At Nanogirl labs we deliver fun, educational and impactful science engagement programs that include school assembly shows, mall and museum shows, science birthday parties and school holiday programs. We strongly believe that helping young people to meet a real scientist or STEM professional role model is important to help the to break any stereotypes they may have as well as provide an opportunity for them to ask any questions they may have about their research or specialty.

We have several roles available:
Science Party Presenter (mostly weekend work)
School Holiday Science Presenter (weekday work within school hours during the school holidays)
Mall Science Show Presenter (weekday work within school hours during the school holidays)
School Assembly Show Presenter (weekday work within school hours)

As 2024 gets underway, we are delighted to welcome Anna Taylor to our team, leading our Nanogirl in Schools program. With over 20 years in Education, Anna has taught at schools in the UK and NZ. For the last 4 years she has specialised in Design and Digital Technology and loves collaborating with teachers and students to solve problems and devise creative solutions.

Anna has recently completed a Masters in contemporary Education that focused on increasing teachers’ confidence and capabilities with digital literacy using a project-based learning approach. Anna's commitment to education and passion for fostering learning environments make her a valuable addition to the dedicated Nanogirl team...and no doubt she'll help to make a real difference in classrooms across the motu through her work.
