On Friday last week Rooms 4-10 had a maths theme scavenger hunt to celebrate 'NZ Maths Week'. It was wonderful to have whānau along to participate, and Rooms 30 and 31 as tuakana to support the younger tamariki. Tamariki had to find a number of mathematical items, as well as solving equations and mathematical challenges. We hope you had fun if you came along! 🤩
Each year the senior school classes have an opportunity to have their writing and art work published in the PriceWaterHouseCoopers Aho Korero Journal.
At the senior school whānau this week, they celebrated the tamariki who had their work published this year.

Did you know that Fairburn School does pre-school visits on Fridays?
We know that going to school for the first time can be scary for little ones (and for parents too)! On Fridays our new entrant and year 1 tamariki start the day with some learning, and then they participate in Māhuri (developmental play). You and your child can come along to meet the teachers and other tamariki, join in on some learning, and find out about our enrolment process. This is a great way to help your child feel comfortable in a new environment.
Come along to the office on Pukeora Road at 9am on Friday or call our office on 09 270 1130 for more information. We would love to have you join us.
Some photos from Room 20 who have been learning about their cultures and using this information in their writing 🤩
