SPCA Auckland Centres, Auckland Videos

Videos by SPCA Auckland Centres in Auckland. SPCA's Auckland Centres in Mangere and Hobsonville help around 15,000 animals each year - animals who have been abandoned, abused or neglected.

We saw Suzi trying to play with the lambs on her walk today and just HAD to share this video with you guys! 😆 She was very confused why they didn't want to play with her 💔 While she won't make the best farm dog, she would be the perfect companion for an active family who will play with her to her heart's content 🥰

Suzi has been with us for couple months and is still looking for her forever family. We can't believe she is still here! 🥺 Due to her rambunctious personality, she will need someone with the knowledge to teach her to become the best girl she can be.

Suzi is available to adopt from our Mangere centre. If you are interested in meeting and potentially taking her home, please put an application though on our website! 🩷

Here's a little shoutout to just a few of the dogs and puppies we have available for adoption at our Mangere centre 💕 While some of them are still new to the shelter life, we have a lot of dogs who have unfortunately been having trouble finding their forever homes 🥺 Will you or your friend be taking one home? To know more about these dogs and puppies featured in this video, head on over to our website! 💗 https://www.spca.nz/adopt?species=dogs¢res=auckland-centre&breed=all&size=all&animal_id=&minAge=&maxAge=&pageNum=1

🐾💚 Fred Appreciation Post 🐶🐾 Our handsome boy Fred has been ready for adoption for more than 60 days and not a single person has come down to meet him! 💔 He is an absolute trick master who has learnt sit, touch, spin, and jump, just to name a few! He has an active mind and is looking for a home who can challenge him and give him plenty of physical exercise. 🌞 Ideally, Fred would be your only pet so he can soak up all the attention he deserves! He would also do well in a home with an older calmer dog. ☘️ If you're looking for a loyal companion and a hiking buddy to take on adventures, please register to adopt Fred today! https://www.spca.nz/adopt/animal/602552/dog-fred-auckland?species=dogs¢res=auckland-centre&breed=all&size=all&animal_id=&minAge=&maxAge=&pageNum=1

We never like to see animals stay long periods of time with us while waiting for adoption, but the one nice thing about long stays is the bond they build without team at the Centre 💙 Tripod Rudder has had a long journey at SPCA Auckland. He's nearing a year under our care. This means he has come to know and love the team here! Here you can see his morning routine, coming into the Centre with the team member who is fostering him and being VERY excited to have his daily greeting with the front-of-house team. Despite being 3-legged, Rudder is as energetic and mobile as the best of them! This boy is an absolute delight to have around, and we so want to see him get the family he deserves. www.spca.nz/adopt/animal/559738/dog-rudder-hobsonville for anyone keen to know more about this 10/10 good boi.

UPDATE: SPCA Hobsonville is now open again 😊 ** SPCA HOBSONVILLE CENTRE TEMPORARILY CLOSED** Due to an unplanned power outage in the area, our Hobsonville centre is temporarily closed. If you are needing assistance with an animal, please contact our SPCA welfare line or the SPCA Māngere centre on 09 256 7300. While the staff are finding their way through the centre, the animals don't seem to mind too much. Turn your sound up for some adorable purrs from equally adorable Sass.

Rodrigo takes his job as morning welcoming committee very seriously 🥰 Showing off his purrrly whites

Cyclone shows us his foot
How cute is this! Cyclone is one of the birds currently in our care, and he has a sore foot which we are needing to monitor. Our team have taught him to show us his foot on command so we can check it without needing to handle him or cause him any stress - he's such a good boy! 🥰

“Find the odd one out!” 🐔😂 Red Claw was recently adopted from our Māngere Centre and is absolutely LIVING. Usually found dominating the feeding frenzy amongst her wooly paddock mates, this girl has settled in beautifully to her new rural home, and we couldn’t be happier for her!

"Puppies are following me everywhere!" In other words: a dream. This video is a glimpse into what canine fostering can look like! While many SPCA animals needs to be kept indoors during their foster time, these lucky puppies have received their vaccinations and are able to be outside in their foster home - playing soccer no less! Positive socialisation and experiences like this are what foster care is all about - it's a level of care they simply can't get in the shelter environment. Think you might be interested? Our Auckland centres are desperate for some new canine foster carers. We cover all costs, you provide the TLC! Head to www.spca.nz/foster to get involved ❤

Our Auckland cat adoption rooms are full!
Cat adoption rooms are full here at SPCA Māngere! If you're looking for a feline friend to join your whānau, now's the time! Head to www.spca.nz/akl-cats to browse profiles, or call 09 256 7300 to book a time to come in and meet all cuties currently waiting <3

It may be hard to tell through the floof, but this sweetheart is heavily pregnant. Yes this video is from today, 7 June. No, it is not normal to see cats come in pregnant this late in the year. Kitten season doesn't seem to be slowing down, and our Centres are still full of felines! While we take good care of her as she awaits her new arrivals, help us find some of our other felines a home! Head to www.spca.nz/akl-cats to view adoption-ready cuties today ❤ #AdoptDontShop
