Jake has been with us for over a year now but we thought we would introduce our legend on here.

WHAT HE SAYS:
I love barbering because it gives me a purpose and I love to help others any where i can so making them look sharper is something I can give back!

Something you don’t know about jake is he is a perfectionist to the max! Everything has its place, every step has its process!

He chose to work with us due to the opportunity given, room for expentietnial growth, clean and a tidy well presented store with a high end vibe in the industry brining a positive culture to the store both for staff and clients.

WHAT WE SAY:
Jake was like finding a needle in a hay stack! When Jacob asked for an interview, we brought him in and were instantly wowed by his ability and could tell this guy was the right fit for us….although he was nervous, the guy is 10 x better than he thinks.

Professional with our clients, an artist on the scissors and clippers and we couldn’t be more pumped to have this man on our team!

CRIEGHTON | TRAINED BARBER

Crieghton has been with us for 10 months now but we thought we would let you get to know abit more about him if you haven’t been fortunate enough to be cut in his chair.

WHAT HE SAYS:
Originally from Thames, he got into barbering when he moved to Hamilton and looking for a new career. I love chatting to clients and getting to know their story of where they are from, what they do for work etc….essentially knowing their story.

I also like to tell the boss how good i am at golf, exercise here and there, hang with mates, watch the only player that matters (Shaun Johnston) and spend time with my partner. Somthing you dont know about me is I love baking desserts and am the master!

I like working here as its a good work environment, good boss, great team but mainly the professionalism and standards they hold In the industry and barbering compared to what I have seen in the past.

WHAT WE SAY:
Creighton or C-Dawg (what we call him) is the poster child for barbering in the way that barbering is about engaging and getting to know clients and this guy loves it! Pretty much wrote the dictionary for barbering chat. He fits our values and motos perfectly and we couldn’t be more pumped to have C-Dawg part of our team…

PLUS, we have never met a more passionate warriors & Shaun Johnson supporter. Go the warriors!

Fun fact, our owner wears two hats! Barbershop owner & High Performance BMX coach.

He is currently in Holland (just flown in from Turkey) for rounds 1-4 of the BMX World Cup season with his athletes from New Zealand.

Athletes? Yes he also coaches high performance BMX athletes on their quest to become world champions and Olympic medalists. 4.5 weeks in Europe and then he’ll be back in the land of the long white cloud getting BMXers ready for the BMX world championships and continuing on the quest to building world class barbers and services in the Waikato

BELLA | TRAINED BARBER

Cambridge, you already know her well but here’s some more to know about one of our customers favourite barbers, Bella.

Bellas an Aussie girl but resides here in Cambridge. She loves to go to the beach, going on road trips and seeing NZ in her spare time.

Why/how she got into barbering?
She loves the culture of barbering and its an amazing trade that I can take anywhere in the world with me. She loves meeting new people from all different walks of life and getting to know new people

She’s OCD with cleanliness

Why she likes being apart of the Cambridge BarbershopCo family?
Culture and moral are really important for me in life and in the industry. Matt and Dani as owners are really big on people, culture and being a team so I feel really at home, comfortable and valued which is really important to me

We have just launched this in store which helps you see wait times and get yourself in the Queue before you get there!

It not a booking system, still a traditional queuing system but you can now jump in queue remotely rather than waiting in store. You can also now walk in and put yourself in queue and shoot off and grab a coffee if the wait time is large!
