Cambridge Middle and High School
During the school holidays Cambridge Blue Light had the opportunity to send a local youth on a week long voyage sailing around the Hauraki Gulf on board the Steinlager 2 Yacht.
Poppy from Cambridge High School NZ was given this experience and from what she told us āit was a truly amazing experience and definitely one of the best things that I have ever done!ā
She learned all things sailing, how being part of a team is the way to go on a boat and to appreciate the simple things in life.
We hope to give another youth this opportunity next year.
Thank you to Bridge Club Cambridge for kindly donating to Cambridge Blue Light. Your contribution helped make this experience happen.

The last week of Blue Edge has arrived and the team played a fun game of one touch to celebrate and recover for our longest day.
The longest day starts tomorrow at 5am and the first stop is climbing the Hakarimatas.
The last stop will be back in Cambridge when they will attempt to pull one of the local fire trucks.
Tomorrow is going to be a exhausting, challenging and fun day!
Also big thanks to all the parents who have been supporting their kids and doing early morning drop offs during term 3.
Best of luck for tomorrow team!
This morning we had our last guest speaker for Blue Edge.
Constable Mike who previously went to Cambridge Middle and High School, spoke to the group.
