To all of my amazing customers, the time has come for me to officially share with you that A-diction Espresso Bar will not be reopening.

It has been my absolute pleasure to serve you for nearly five years. In that time we have laughed together and on occasion, cried together. We have debated and put the world to rights, told inappropriate jokes and shared stories that would give the best novelists the most jusiest of plots.

We have formed groups and made friends with people we did not know before. We have connected people to people and people to people. The web is intricate and I appreciate everyone of you.

Yes, I sold coffee and Portuguese tarts but this journey has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined.

There is one man to whom I will be forever grateful. Hamish Wright, you are one of the most wonderful souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I sincerely hope that you are all getting through our current situation comfortably, with gratitude, appreciation and most importantly, love. ❤️
In light of the announcement today, A-diction espresso bar will unfortunately not reopen until we are in Level 2.
Our other cafes are all in the Auckland region and must remain closed. As you can imagine this is a challenging and stressful time but we've been here before and we will be ready for when we can fling the doors open again.

I am the luckiest barista ever. Every Friday without fail I have a visit from my friend Clara who brings me flowers and pure joy!

All that we ask is that you scan using one of the qr sheets, use common distances and smile.

My usual reliance on stock and staff has been cut off with level 3 borders so while doing our best, there may be shortfalls in stock.
The coffee will continue to flow however.

For years we have put pressure on our suppliers to provide a more sustainable product in recycleable takeaway coffee cups.
We succeeded!
Next goal, to seek an outlet that would take our used takeaway cups and lids and fully compost them.
We succeeded!
For the past few months, in association with the dynamic team at Wholly Cow, our recycleable waste is picked up and taken to be composted and eventually become part of a regenerative culture.
