How long will it be after getting my brows done before I get a colour boost?

This depends as every clients skin, lifestyle and immune system is different, I see clients at the 1, 1.5 even 2 year mark for their colour boosts to keep their colour and shape on point 💕

Why do some freshly brows have a red undertone? We choose a pigment colour choice based on colour theory and the undertones of your skin.
Some clients are more cooler and some clients have warmer undertones, meaning we need to choose a pigment colour that will heal down not too cool but not too warm.

A modifier is usually added into our pigment mix to stop brows healing too cool which can sometimes make freshly done brows have red undertones, but this is to ensure our brows heal true to colour and not too cool

Clients are often concerned that ombré brows will be too bold for them, but as you can see by these healed results ombré brows heal down to be soft natural results that blend well with any existing hair you may have but still creating definition and a low maintenance everyday look 🤌🏼

How do you choose a brow style?

We go through styles and colour choice on the day of your appointment to choose the right style that works with your skin type, any natural brow you have as well as how you ideally would like your brows to look.

We then map your shape out taking into account your facial features and any natural brow you have which I then get you to approve shape before we go ahead.

Most are worried their brows will look fake but we can make any style as natural as you would like, ombré and combination are a great options for more natural looking brows and powder is a great options for those wanting something a bit more makeup looking.

How long is healing time for permanent makeup?

Brow healing time is generally 7-10 days for the whole surface healing process with the peeling process starting around day 3. Brows should peel like sunburn and shouldn’t have thick heavy scabs as long as proper aftercare is followed, you want to let peeling come away naturally and never pick scratch or itch area during the healing process.
Although surface healing of brows is completed in this time we don’t do our touch up until 6 weeks this is to ensure skin is properly healed and also allows time for pigment to settle and see true healed results around week 4.

Lip healing process is a bit quicker than brow area with scabbing/peeling stage lasting usually around 3-5 days.
Although lips heal quite quickly we don’t do a touch up on lips until around 8-10 weeks post first app this is because pigment in the lips take a while to settle and for us to see the true healed result of final colour achieved.

I provide you with all aftercare you will need during the healing process at time of your appointment.

Is permanent makeup painful?

Permanent makeup is not considered painless there is always going to be some sort of pain or discomfort however this depends on each individuals pain threshold, most people are surprised at how painless it is.

I do numb you throughout the appointment with a topical anaesthetic so you don’t feel much at all, most people describe it to feel like slight scratches on the area and most end up falling asleep during the app 😀

I also advise clients to avoid permanent makeup whilst they’re on their monthly cycle as this can cause you to be a bit more sensitive as well

Can two brows be perfectly symmetrical? 👯‍♀️

Perfect symmetry in the brows could only be achieved if someone has a perfectly symmetrical face which does not exist therefore our goal when we map and shape your brows is to create balance and as much symmetry as possible.

Brow bone structure as well as facial muscles also play a large role as to why brows may look different from the other.

It’s natural to have non symmetrical eyebrows and getting your brows done should accentuate them creating harmony with your facial features

Is my touch up necessary? YES!!

Brows are always a two step process as everybody heals and takes pigment differently, so to get the best results a touch up is required 6 weeks after our initial app.

The first appointment is about structuring the brow finding your ideal shape and seeing how your skin retains the pigment after the healing process

At our second appointment (perfecting session) we assess how you have healed and can make adjustments to shape & colour to achieve your desired results. It is completely normal for certain areas of the skin to not have picked up pigment in our first session or to have faded, so the second session is imperative to refine your brows and keep them lasting as long as possible.

A third session may be required for certain skin types.
