Some days your toast falls jam side up. A client mentioned they had a Canon 10D from the olden days with a lens on it. It was on the tip of my tongue to tell them not to bother bringing it in, presuming it might be the old 28-90 kit lens. But, it wasn't, it was a unicorn hiding in plain site ! ( The dust is just on the filter has been left to show the lovely 'barn find ' status, the lens is perfect )

Here we go. Not much to say about this really, without question the very best Nikon kit I have ever seen. Near perfect, expensive filters, correct hoods, an unused F6, a 35mm Summicron hiding in one corner, there may have been a Billingham bag but that is going to the pool room. Ask away, I will post prices on here shortly, or you can email [email protected]. My fave ? You might think it would be the brand new boxed S3 Nikon ( 2000 edition ) but it's not. I would go with the F6 with the 105mm f2 defocus lens I think. The best 35mm film camera ever made they reckon ! I forgot to take a shot of the AF 200mm f4 macro but there is one there.

If you are a lover of things made by Nikon, you have super good taste, and you are easily swayed by fast talking sales people on social media, I suggest you give all of your credit cards to your partner and delete your on line banking app. There is a kit about to hit our shelves that will make your eyes water. We traded this the other day and rather than burning a hole in the planet sending it around the place we thought we might see if there is a buyer in the Wellington region. Our client bought it with a project in mind, the P600 is a great printer and ink etc all still available for it. $595 is a great price for a high end A3+ printer new !

Up until just recently I would have to fight off buyers for one of these. This is Canons mighty EF 600mm f4. This example is super clean, and is the mk II IS, so lighter than the first one, but heavier than the very last mk III one. The mk III is still a current lens at $24,000 ! We have the hood, the case, and irrespective of it being 'old' it is a beautiful bit of optical engineering at only $8995 ! Listed soon but here now.

Give a man a 3D printer and a few days off work and what does he do with his time ? Much as I want to mock this gent for his home engineering I reckon this f180 pin hole camera is very cool. Imagine if you rocked up to Hasselblad in the 70's and told them you made this out of a sheet of stuff, then made it into dots and piled them on top of each other :) Enough DOF for you at f180 ?

I traded this off a nice bloke yesterday. It has had no use as it was his spare. I thought about splitting it up but because I'm just a touch lazy I wondered if anyone wanted to venture into M43 mirrorless with this kit exactly as it sits ? E-M1 III , 12-40 f2.8 Pro ( first version ) and Leicas lovely 100-400 ( so this is a 200-800 taking into account the crop ) . Hello. It seems we have a comedian amongst our clients. Obviously we get a few fraudulent orders from time to time, that is part of selling on line. We don't get caught out by them. 99% of our orders are from normal pleasant human beings. However, if the person that keeps ordering used stock with stolen cards under the name of ' Howl Cute ' in Takapuna would give it a rest I would appreciate it. Every time you do it Matt or Geoffrey have to re list the item and there is zero chance of us ever sending you anything. Fill your day doing something else please.

It's Friday, what can I say, these are unlikely to be priced before Monday, but we have here a usable Leica IIIG + 50mm f2 Summitar, yellow filter and this very cute Summitar folding hood. A Canon P with a bright usable Canon 50mm f1.8 on it, a 90mm Elmarit f2.8 for the IIIG ( or the P of course, the lens won't mind ) . The gent who traded this kit gave me a lesson in screw mount today , the SV with this 8 element 50mm f1.4 are a pair as the mirror on some screw mount bodies hits the rear element on this particular lens - who knew ? The cluster of Takumars are a 55mm f1.8, 55mm f2, 50mm f4 macro , 105mm f2.8, another 55mm f1.8 , 100mm f4 macro and a bellows that can be free to whoever buys the camera. So please feel free to fester over these until I get back on Monday, I doubt the weekend boys will be of any help to you :)

It's been a while since we have had a good drop of M43 goodness. This one almost exclusively Panasonic / Leica. Prices coming in comments, boxes for most, not much use. These are not listed yet so email the teaboy if you want to jump the queue, Geoffrey is still trying to get the Nikon kit from the other day listed. G9 II with that little Summilux 25mm f1.4 on it would be a great little weekend camera. Anyone that comments on my downhill desk gets to pay more.

One of these things is not a lemon. Ricohs finest work, the 500GX had a rangefinder, multi exposure, shutter priority, manual, and a very fine 2.8 40mm lens. This one also has a book and case. The Canon EOS IX7 was a moderately high end APS SLR and we all know how well that went. It does have a mint EF 22-55 on it, so nice if you want a lightweight tramping full frame wide for your EOS DSLR. The Sony U20 is a very little 2mp pocket camera when they really meant 'pocket'. $180 for the Ricoh, $180 for the IX7 ( no film available so this is lens price only really ) and the U20 is $80, it runs, has fresh AAA's in it and has a 64mb Memory stick in it. These are not quite ours yet, but I will have pricing confirmation soon. I love it when a pile of Nikon is taller than Danni ! The overall condition of these is as you might expect from a user who thought they should keep the boxes for every single item. Am I the only person that thinks this is quite cool ? Maybe even Kool with a capital 'K' . It had the proper Fuji filter on it, and a brass thumbs up thingy. The lens has a box but sadly not the camera. They made such a loving couple we decided not to split them.

It is a sign of the times that studio lights are a harder sell than they used to be. There are so many inexpensive options. A while ago the Elinchrom Ranger was the dogs bo****ks, it was the kit you bought when you wanted super high power lights in the field. They were expensive and reliable. We have had this in stock for 2 years and it shouldn't still be here. so from tomorrow morning it is going to be $1250 instead of $2595.

The mighty 058 Manfrotto, I can't look at one of these without thinking of our dear mate John McCombe. He used to use his 058's until there was no paint on it. Anyway, this one is a ripper, used in a studio, if there is such a thing as a 'classic' tripod this is it. This combo, 058 + 029 Pro head now available, it could be freighted, but it is heavy ! $649 in store, $689 sent.

Was Rollei the only company that mastered the design of a projector that had 35mm slides on one side and 6x6 on the other ? I have had a few of the dual 35mm ones in the past but have never seen one of these before. Just need to locate my box of 6x6 trannies. The big question is if I am brave enough to plug it in, 240v up my arm has little appeal :)

Ugly but works, what can I say, the Minolta 7000i was an expensive camera. This one goes, the Tokina 70-210 has a little village living inside it, the flash seems to go. Want to have a crack at 35mm film for nearly no money ? The new batteries in it cost $30 ! How about $130 all up, $150 if we are sending ? No splitty splitty, this is commitment time.
