Spring floral vibes were called for on Grace & Hugh’s special day back in November! 🌸 I loved getting to be a part of this special day, where the colours were popping, the vibes were rustic, and the drum’n’bass was pumping 🎶

Telling their story of weaving in and out of each other’s lives until it stuck, and their proposal where they spontaneously got engaged at the Electric Ave music festival here in Christchurch was so much fun! And to do it all at the same venue where I got married a few years ago made this one heck of a wedding! 🌼

I had so much fun with this awesome couple - getting them hitched at the gorgeous back in February. It was such an honour to tell their love story - weaving lots of humour and jokes throughout their ceremony to perfectly reflect them both! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! 🤍

Lega and Zach were married back in January - just outside the South New Brighton Surf Lifesaving club. Such a gorgeous spot - overlooking the beach, and surrounded by many of Lega & Zach’s closest family and friends. Such a special day!!

Throwing it aaaaalllll the way back to January 2023, when the gorgeous Emily & Keegan were married at ! 💐

Though we were super hopeful for an outdoor ceremony (we even had our rehearsal out in the drizzle in the hopes we could pull it off), we did have to pull out our wet weather plan, and crowd together in the barn. The clear door covering meant we still got the beautiful view that Sudbury offers, and crowding together under shelter gave it a warm, cozy feeling. And despite our last minute changes, our bride and groom were such troopers through it all 💕

What a special day in a stunning location! I love getting to reminisce on days such as this! I even remember putting my hubbys raincoat on, and holding my bag over my head to make sure I didn’t get too disheveled on my way from the car to the venue! ☔️

Just kidding! I had so much fun working with Abbie & Quinn, that when of .photography asked us to chat/laugh/look at each other for a candid shot, it felt only natural to have a wee giggle together 💛

Grace and Hugh were married back in November at the Mt Pleasant Community Centre. This was a super fun celebration, and a special one for me as I also got married at the same venue!!! It was so great getting to see how another couple used the same space in a completely different way, and I loved their spring colour theme and rustic vibe. We had such a fun day, and Grace & Hugh even had their gorgeous fur babies join in their photos and celebrations!

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything on the socials, but not because I haven’t been busy! In fact along with a busy wedding season and dance classes, I’ve been busy with my gorgeous 11 month old baby… AND growing another one who is due early July! 😳🤰🏻💙🩷

But turns out I am an all or nothing kinda girl, so this week I’ll spam the socials with some of the gorgeous couples I’ve had the privilege of marrying this season - and I may include a few throwbacks too!! Congratulations once again Sarah & Val!!! What a day we had celebrating you!!

Tonight is the Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand awards night!! And I am honoured to have been named as a finalist - in the category of Outstanding Celebrant for 2023 💕

What an honour to be included amongst this elite group of industry professionals! I have been crashing weddings - professionally, since 2021, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. What started as a passing comment by my husband after our own wedding, has become an integral part of who I am and what I do. It is such an honour to be involved in such a monumental moment in my couples lives, and I always still get that flutter of excitement when I get another enquiry or book with a new couple. I can’t wait to get many more people hitched over the coming years! 🤍

A few months ago I added another job title to my résumé - Mum - and with my wee bub still in NICU after being born extremely prematurely, I unfortunately cannot attend the awards gala this evening. Instead I will be watching from afar, and and waiting with bated breath to see who is announced as the winner of each category. It is an honour to simply be a finalist, and I send best wishes to all the other finalists! 🤍

Missy and Sean’s families were in for quite the surprise on their wedding day when they found out that this wonderful couple didn’t meet through mutual friends as they had been led to believe, but instead met through the power of the internet! 😂

Their ceremony was held at the Historic Christ Church in Taita - a beautiful location with a very special family connection for Missy! ⛪️

Their gorgeous family grew by two tiny feet not long after their special day 👣, and it was such an honour to be involved this part of their story.

I have the best job ever! How lucky am I to do what I do?! 💕

Working with these two was an absolute dream, and I loved being involved in their special day at the gorgeous back in January.

Kelsey & Tyler are further proof that swiping right does work, after meeting via a certain app 🔥 - or as Kelsey’s grandmother would say, ‘they met on the phone’.

Their day was absolutely beautiful, and filled with love and laughter, and a little bit of drizzle couldn’t keep the smiles from their faces 💕

The rain didn’t stop us from celebrating Losi & Aidan’s special day in style at the beautiful Tarureka Estate back in December. We rolled with our wet weather plan, and held their ceremony in the gorgeous, rustic barn.

I love seeing how my couples make their day uniquely their own, and reflective of them. Losi & Aidan incorporated some beautiful cultural aspects into their special day, and I loved seeing it unfold.

Welcome to the world little Tyler William Mooney 💙

I had planned to announce my pregnancy on here sometime after the 20 week mark, but instead this little guy made a super early arrival on Friday 7th April, at only 23 weeks + 6 days gestation. He weighs a tiny 1.37 pounds (620 grams) and is so far doing incredibly well in NICU.

We are adjusting to being a family of 3 and navigating NICU life, but please continue to enquire if you are looking for a celebrant. If I have capacity I would love to help make a difference to your special day 💙

Throwing it back to this incredible Cher-themed day in all its glory!!

These Gal Pals first met at a coffee shop with some mutual friends, and the journey they took started in friendship - accidentally being the third and fourth wheels on a friends tinder date! Their connection was immediate and their banter was easy - with an endless supply of laughter. (Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the tinder date!).

Eventually they found themselves on a couple of ‘are these dates?’, as their feelings for one another developed. And finally I was able to pronounce them as ‘Gal Pals for life’ earlier this year!

In Kelly’s words, “If you’re gonna get married, make it q***r, theme it Cher, and do it at Bedlam & Squalor!”

This was such a fabulous day for a fabulous couple, and I was truly honoured to step in for my friend to get these gal pals hitched!

I was absolutely thrilled to get Leeanna & David hitched earlier this year! And I’m so stoked to be able to share some images from their special day with you!

These lovebirds first met when Leeanna went for a job interview at David’s business some years ago. Her first impression of David was “Holy hecka, he’s handsome”, and David’s first impression of Leeanna was “She’s a keeper for sure!”

Unsurprisingly, Leeanna got the job, and as they say - the rest is history!

What a magical day we had celebrating these two special people, and I can’t wait to share some more snaps from their day with you soon! 💕

Just reminiscing on this incredible day! 💕 I was absolutely honoured to get Sheree & Kostas hitched earlier this year at Forest Weddings.

Sheree & Kostas first met when they started working together many years ago, and they have made the best team ever since! They are the talented team behind Tasteful Affairs Catering, and run several businesses together. They also have the most gorgeous family, so it was super exciting to get these guys hitched!

This day was even more special for me, having known Sheree and her family for over 15 years! And I may have bawled my eyes out when Sheree’s son Corbyn gave the most beautiful speech… Ok, I was definitely bawling! 😭💕

Jacinta & Reihana’s love story began on what was already an epic adventure for them – their big OE! A Wednesday wine club in Acton Town, London - where Jacinta was a frequent member – set the scene for their first meeting. Reihana joined said club, and caught Jacinta’s attention when he mentioned that he’d walked the North Island. She was also pretty impressed by the fact that he rocked up with two bottles of wine and was ready to party! And it certainly wasn’t one sided. Jacinta caught his eye immediately with her stunning good looks and he soon realised she had the personality to match! And so began their love story…

I was lucky enough to marry this gorgeous couple earlier in the year, and was thrilled to find out recently that their family is growing, with a little one set to join them in Feb 2023!!

Congratulations on your growing whānau Jacinta & Reihana!!! So very exciting for you both, and I wish you love and happiness for the years ahead as you enter this exciting new chapter!

I was lucky enough to marry Missy & Sean at the historic Christ Church in Taitā on Friday afternoon. The oldest surviving church in the Wellington region had a special family connection for Missy, as one of her great-grandfathers was involved in building this gorgeous historic building. And a lovely connection for me, being born and raised in Christchurch of the South Island, and getting to officiate a wedding at the historic Christ Church. How lucky are we to have such rich historic buildings on our doorstep! 💕
