Martial Arts, Karate Dojo, JKA Karate, Shotokan karate We welcome new students at any time - all ages and abilities welcome! Please bring a water bottle.

We train on Monday evenings at Nga Maara Hall, Sacred Heart School,
63 North Road, North East Valley.
6 - 7 pm: Beginners & white belts
7 - 8 pm: Yellow belts & above

Beginners can wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

We are proud of our 22 JKANZ members that participated in the KNZ All Styles Nationals and Secondary Schools Tournament in Auckland this weekend 16th-17th September 2023. It's been a few years since we participated however it was a great experience and fantastic team effort! Congratulations and we'll done to all who participated! JKANZ came away with 4x Gold, 1x Silver and 4 x Bronze medals!

JKA NZ Chief Instructor Sensei Karl Naoroji and Sensei Lizelle Pelser are coming down to Dunedin Dojo to do Gassshuku (training seminar) on Shotokan Karate this weekend.

This will be held on Nga Maara Hall at Sacred Heart School,
63 North Road, North East Valley, Dunedin.

Saturday, 05 August
11 am - 1 pm: Training
2 pm - 4 pm: Training

Sunday, 06 August
10 am - 12 pm: Training

JKA Dunedin was so pleased to host a fantastic 2-day seminar last weekend conducted by Sensei Karl Naoroji (Chief Instructor JKANZ). What a successful and inspiring event! A special thanks to all who traveled to Dunedin for the weekend, it was wonderful to welcome JKA members from Auckland, Christchurch and Timaru to our Dunedin dojo. We all look forward to the next Dunedin seminar to be held 6-7 August.
