This week Emily and I will start teaching our Salsa courses at OUSA. Classes will be on Thursdays at 6pm for Salsa Beginner and 7pm for Salsa Continued. There is still time to sign up for them through the OUSA website. You don't need to be a student to sign up!

If you live in Dunedin and want to learn how to partner dance, I have great news for you!!

Dança Latina Dunedin is offering a Free latin dance class - Bachata on Wednesday, September 27th at 6pm!! It is the first class of a 5 week block, and if you come you'll also get a special discount to sign-up for the rest of the block if you so desire!

Bachata is a style of partner dance that originated on the Dominican Republic and it is usually danced to bachata music. It is danced widely all over the world and it is one of the easiest dance styles to learn.

Just show up at the Stuart Hall (behind Knox Church) and try it out!! You don't need to bring a partner, but feel free to invite friends!

As some of you know, alongside dance teaching I am also doing a postgrad Diploma in Health and Exercise. I am doing a research as part of the coursework to see the relation between Injury Prevalence and Partner Dance.

Such a great weekend competing and judging at the South Island Latin Championship 2021 in New Zealand!! 1st place Open Salsa Freestyle and 3rd place Open Bachata freestyle! It was out first time competing together! I bit gutted that there wasn't Zouk and Kizomba Pro Level categories but we're super happy with our result!
