Live music, dancing, raffles, spot prizes, canapes & more! 2023's theme is 'Boot Scootin' Boogie'!
We met with Dunedin Riding for the Disabled at their yard in Fairfield today, here's a short video guest starring Fudge and Sam!
Announcing the final donation amount for 2023's Dunedin Mid Winter Ball Fundraiser! The Dunedin Riding for the Disabled association will be receiving a grand total of $4,895.79! Thanks to the hard work of the DMWB team, donors, volunteers, and of course our wonderful guests from the big night, Sam the pony (pictured far right) will be getting a new saddle! The money will also help with funding a new electric fence, farrier costs, and some fencing supplies. The Dunedin Mid Winter Ball Fundraiser committee are very proud to be helping the team at Dunedin Riding for the Disabled to continue to provide important services within the disabled community, and of course looking after our equine friends!

A little bit about this years fundraiser beneficiary! Dunedin Riding for the Disabled is one of 50 not-for-profit Riding for the Disabled groups around New Zealand, & are affiliated with New Zealand Riding for the Disabled. Their core purpose is to provide interaction with horses to improve the health & wellbeing of people experiencing disability, or who have specific challenges or needs.
Dunedin RDA was established in '73 & currently have their own land in Fairfield, Dunedin. No government funding means that the organisation relies on grants, corporate sponsorship & generous donations from the community.
An interesting tid-bit is that Dunedin RDA also run an integrated community riding school open to all abilities, to help off-set the running costs and to supplement the work of the RDA horses and ponies. There are approximately 70 riders and over 50 volunteers who are extremely important & without which they simply could not run the programme and care for the horses.
The Dunedin Mid Winter Ball Fundraiser committee are proud to support Dunedin Riding for the Disabled, all attributed to your generousness!!! Thank-you!

Please get in touch if you have anything you'd like to donate - nothing is too small (or big!) and every dollar counts for this years beneficiary Dunedin Riding for the Disabled. Hope to hear from you soon!
