Framing by Artist for Artists
We have changed...
We used to do gigs, happily lots of gigs with over 80 acts on our stage. We used to do art exhibitions, happily lots of exhibitions, with over 35 artists shown. We used to have a wine bar, happily with lots of wine, good wine!
We had to move from our wonderful little space. Coupled with COVID and other health issues, for now, we only do art framing, happily damn good art framing! Our new framing space is in Central Dunedin. Great to be getting out there again.
Want framing? We frame, happily...
Well done Jackie!
2024 Judge Introductions…
Please meet Jacqueline Jubel, Associate Judge, National Wine Awards 2024
Jackie is Restaurant Manager at No 7 Balmac, a student in the EIT Wine Science programme, studying for her WSET Diploma and busy.
She loves the wine industry for the people – their passion for the industry, their willingness to share and collaborate - and for the constant evolution that challenges her daily.
She is excited to meet and learn more from experienced wine judges and to develop her palate alongside some of the Industry’s great tasters. Jackie has gained a lot of knowledge at previous events and looks forward to continued growth.
Welcome to the team, Jackie, we are excited to have you.

The Bigger Picture, influenced by covid lockdown? Of course; 29th October 202111th March 202220th May 2022
As with many, lockdowns, a bout of covid… now finally, the exhibition.
Screaming Rooster proudly presents Hugo van Dorsser’s ‘The Bigger Picture’.
The Bigger Picture explores the metaphorically obscure meaning behind typical scenes of life. Hugo creates entirely new worlds by contorting normal situations into organised moments of entropy. This story is told from Hugo's sense of humour, revealing an amalgamation of global and personal experiences.
Hugo finds inspiration in everyday life, observations, dreams, and ironically, Covid-19, to comment satirically on the human condition. Within each labyrinth, you will find an air of familiarity that will provoke and fashion unique emotions.
We were really looking forward to hearing Jackie Bristow perform on our Cellar Stage on 1st October. Keep your eyes on social media for new dates early next year.
