Teaching good values.
We have been so blessed to be able to stay at some amazing places in Aotearoa so after the unveiling of our Mum and Dad we headed to Russell for a break taking all the kids out.
Yesterday we had a working bee at the cuzzies house teaching our kids about respect of other people's stuff and property and instilling good morals about looking after the places we go to.
We teach them about looking after the kai we have gathered, and rewarded them with a big day at the beach.
We are a family of givers with the biggest hearts so this is how we give back to these blessings we receive thru kai and aroha.
I'm proud we raise our babies this way and even though we don't have much we are rich in knowledge and this will always be passed down to them.

It was cool to catch up with the o.gz who helped me when I was a young fulla starting out.
Pighunting was our passion and we hunted hard all over the north catching many good hokianga boars.We reminisced over old stories from our hunting days with heaps of laughter and a few brews.

Raumoa clothing We met Ben at our business accelerator course for start up maori businesses through Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu.
He recycles old itchy blankets, you know those ones which sit in nans cupboard that no one wants to put on there bed hahaha and turns them into jackets, lining the inside with fleece to stop the itchy. He had taught himself how to sew the garments together and makes everything himself which is amazing.I was fortunate enough to get my hands on this beautiful blue option which is unbelievably warm especially down here in the cold. Hunting and Gathering with dogs offers young people a wholesome and advantageous route to a virtuous lifestyle

This year I have been working towards my Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction, we are 3 weeks away from Exams and our mahi ramped up doing back to back workshops. Today we worked on Discover Scuba Diving workshops learning how to take people who have never been Scuba Diving on there first experience.
This is really exciting for me as my goal is to help people experience the underwater world through our Kaupapa Mahi Matatoa.
Nga mihi to Dive Otago for helping me on my journey this year, so far it has been an awesome experience 👌
