It’s Fresh Hop Launch Day at Emersons! 🚀 Live music in the taproom from 5pm onwards with Callum and P - a blues, rock and country duel known for their tight vocal harmonies. Sticky Digits - After a gold medal win at the 2023 Brewers Guild Awards, we are back with another batch of Sticky Digits. A rich, smooth hazy fresh hop IPA made with fresh Nelson Sauvin hops harvested from @claytonhops_nz Hazy Fresh Hop IPA 6.5% ABV Extra Fresh - A balanced beer, with caramel and raisin like characteristics. Make with fresh Rakau hops from @garstonhops Fresh Hop ESB 5.0% ABV Availabe on tap, Emerson’s Cellar Door and in 440ml cans nationwide wide (Sticky Digits only) 🎉

Beer Drop: Double Bunny, Double IPA 8.1%
This beer is inspired by the rabbits who do a bit of lawn mowing around the brewery. Their numbers seem to double, every time we look. And they're pretty hoppy. So, Double Bunny is a double-hopped, double IPA with intense flavours, lively spice, and a fruity finish. It's surprisingly smooth for its 8.1%, but is a good one to share. Maybe get a friend to hop down — on the double. Look out for Double Bunny 440ml cans at your local grocers this week. Also available at Emerson's Cellar Door and online.

Captured in the wild, canned at Emerson’s Brewery. Now you can enjoy this funky, fruity farmhouse ale, with a hint of spice and subtle hoppy finish, nationwide! After almost four years of searching for a wild yeast strain, @frothtech captured this yeast with an air-trap on the banks of the Rangitīkei River, and isolated and analysed with the help of scientists at Callaghan Innovation. 👩🏻‍🔬 We are honoured to be the first ever brewery to use this new yeast strain. If you live in Dunedin, chances are you witnessed the remarkable sight of a 45-kilo Emerson’s 6-pack participating in Sunday’s marathon. 🏃😮‍💨 Here’s an inside look at this unique endeavor and the individuals brave enough to complete an entire marathon within it! The captivating 6-pack structure, crafted from cedar, was skillfully assembled by Glenn Sutton, a seasoned joiner. Comprising construction-grade cardboard, vinyl signage panels, aluminum tubes, and supporting brackets for portability, the finished creation measured 1700W x 2500L weighing 45 kilos. The intrepid runners who conquered the marathon within the 6-pack were Glenn Sutton, Bruce Adams, Hamish Tyson, and Nathan (Pinky) White. They were supported by their fellow runners who played a pivotal role in helping them reach the finish line: Simon Horan, Ron McLay Barnes, Simon Issacs, and Steve Barton. This achievement exemplifies the essence of teamwork. This West Coast IPA really is for those who like to go boldly. Our brewers certainly did. With three different types of hops added to the boil, followed by even more after the ferment. Some might call it highly illogical. But the result is a strong aroma, with citrus flavours and a crispy dry finish. It certainly stunned the judges at the Malthouse West Coast IPA challenge, where it won bronze and at the Brewers Guild Awards 2021 where it won GOLD. 🥇🥉

The Kaleidoscope was invented by a Scotsman by the name of Brewster. So, it seems appropriate to name a brew after his creation. The words mean beautiful and form. And that's exactly what you'll get from this hazy pale ale. Delicious ever-changing patterns on your tongue. Hoppy notes collide with tropical fruit and hints of grapefruit & citrus.
