A huge congratulations to all our winners at this month’s Southern Football Awards!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that our club has received the Hanlin Shield for the 2024 season. The Hanlin Shield is an award of great prestige in the Otago region. It is a reflection of consistent high performance throughout our senior club, with the right balance of skill, ability and most importantly enjoyment. We are honoured and proud to have received the shield for the 2024 season, the first time in club history.

Varsity had a stellar season this year which could not have happened without all our wonderful players, coaches, volunteers, and sponsors πŸ’™πŸ’›

Congratulations to our women’s reserves for clinching the Kiwi Panda Cup for the third consecutive year and making it four in a row for OUAFC!

It was a fiercely contested match. Royals took the lead in the second half, but Sofia Zame equalised late in regular time, sending the game into extra time. In extra time, Kate Johnstone scored to put us ahead, though Royals equalised with a late penalty, leading to a shootout.

Goalkeeper Caitlin Scherp was phenomenal, making crucial saves and scoring her own penalty to secure the win.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the team and to Royals for a tough and exciting game.
