Congratulations to our womenβs reserves for clinching the Kiwi Panda Cup for the third consecutive year and making it four in a row for OUAFC!
It was a fiercely contested match. Royals took the lead in the second half, but Sofia Zame equalised late in regular time, sending the game into extra time. In extra time, Kate Johnstone scored to put us ahead, though Royals equalised with a late penalty, leading to a shootout.
Goalkeeper Caitlin Scherp was phenomenal, making crucial saves and scoring her own penalty to secure the win.
A big thank you to everyone who supported the team and to Royals for a tough and exciting game.
