'Windswept' 🌊 by Bradley Saunders-Garner ()
"With no plan, I went to Lyall Bay beach in Wellington and the first thing that caught my eye was the light at golden hour lighting the droplets that the wind had stolen from the breaking wave. Between capturing the surfers and the planes landing at the airport, I finally got the shot I was eyeing up. The contrast of the shadow of where the sun had already set, with the wave lit by the sun, it made for a pretty special creative moment."

Earlier this year, Sujata Singh () took the EOS R6 Mark II to Europe and was impressed by its high performance and portability while travelling! 👇
“As a creator who loves to get the perfect shot during my travels, I loved taking the EOS R6 Mark ll along with me around Europe. I was able to capture some amazing imagery of popular monuments, and some great fashion shots of myself. The camera is lightweight and was compact enough to fit in a small travel camera bag that I could easily carry around with me.”

'Basking in the sun' by John Parker ()
"On a recent photography trip to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari I was lucky to spend some time with this elusive Tuatara, these ancient reptiles are known for their distinctive appearance and unique behaviour. With my new Canon telephoto lens I was able to maintain a safe distance and get this beautifully detailed shot without disturbing him basking in the New Zealand sun, showcasing its prehistoric charm.
Top Tip: When photographing Tuatara, it's essential to get down to eye level with the subject to capture their unique perspective. Look for pockets of light in the bush to illuminate your subject, and ensure a nice clean background to create a pleasing bokeh effect in your photos."

'Ipanema' by Cam Stables ()
"As the last glimpses of golden sunlight disappeared behind the mountains beyond, I rushed to capture this composition along the busy shores of Ipanema Beach in the city of Rio De Janeiro. Friendly locals enjoyed the warm tropical waters and played football on the soft sand, as I attempted to capture the full essence of Rio beach life, backdropped by the magnificent Duas Irmaos mountains behind. I only had a few moments to get the right frame, as the ideal light disappeared and the atmosphere diminished."

Spring portrait session ☀️ by Brad Reeve ()
"I love these full sun environments where I can position the sun to the side and slightly behind the subject, adding additional lighting on that same side but slightly in front of the subject. It creates a really cohesive and wrapped light that I can't get enough of, allows me to choose my ideal exposure for both subject and background, and retains a very natural vibe!
I've long been a fan of this look, but it was always quite risky shooting wide open (or close to it) in such harsh conditions. I love how that all changed with mirrorless and the R series - it almost feels like cheating now, the Canon EOS R5 just doesn't miss."

“The interesting point I discovered about shooting this location is that light conditions are much better 20 minutes after sunrise. I'm used to getting the best sunrise light before the sun comes up but in the mountains, the best light comes later when the light hits the contours of the foreground...damn, I could have slept in!”

- Introducing Jet () 📷
Click through the gallery to check out his amazing travel and street photography and learn more about his photography journey! 🙌
"Greetings everyone, Jet here. Currently, I am a University of Auckland year 3 student, but also a Street/Cinematic/Travel Photographer from Macau SAR, a city near Hong Kong but way smaller! I have been shooting with Canon since the start, from the EOS Kiss X2 (Japan-only model, which is the EOS 450D/Rebel XSi equivalent) to the EOS 7D and then to the current beast, the EOS 5D Mk IV. The Canon lenses I have are the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM and the EF 2x III extender for the 70-200mm, planning to get the OG EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM and the EOS R5C in the near future!
As the bigger brother in the family, my father would always want me to learn more skills, and I have been highly encouraged to be the family photographer who takes family photos on every trip. Slowly, the feeling of compositions started to creep in, and that was when I decided I wanted a bigger and better camera to capture the precious moments in life!
Throughout my photography journey, I started to appreciate my surroundings in everyday life. Even though the places stay, the people don’t, and the interactions between them urges me to capture the moments that makes life, well, intriguing. I'm often interested in the narrow and intricate streets around places, and photograph any interesting street moment that life gives!
The advice which has kept me going throughout my photography journey was from a movie. The story of the movie was about a patient with dementia. Although he did not gain his memory back, he had so many photos of him taken by his best friend. As a human being, I might not remember everything in life. So I want my life to be a story I can look back on, capturing the places I've been to with friends and family just like the movie!
Now, I am striving for my aspiration, which is to become an airliner pilot. Visiting more countries and capturing moments during those trips is my ultimate life goal. Sharing my photography journey is like sharing my life story to people, and I hope you all find my story special and intriguing."
Mountain layers ⛰ by Lucas Brunt () 📷
Lucas' top tip: "To take a photo like this all you need is a telephoto lens and light slightly behind the subject (mountains). I took this photo with my telephoto lens then I cropped it again to really define the layers."

Cheeky Kea trying to decide which Canon lens to use. "I'll just Wing it!" captured by Graham Fisher () 📷
"When visiting Arthur's Pass, it is always worth visiting the Arthur's Pass Cafe to check out any Kea Antics. Always have the camera at the ready, you just never know. These amazing birds are so intelligent and inquisitive. This one was attracted to our camera bag, stood on it, dragged it around and managed to open it and get its head inside. Once it opened the cover it took an instant liking to our Canon lenses. It got a good grip and nearly lifted this lens out of the bag. Panic by us and we moved towards the Kea, luckily it let go, otherwise it would have had its own Canon lens.
A short time later it was attracted to my wife's camera, Amanda. She took the close ups. I was set up with my 100-400mm lens hoping to catch birds in flight with my new camera so had to stand back from the action to fit the Kea in frame. They move quickly so always give yourself some space to follow them and keep them in frame. Best to be slightly wider and crop your images. So pleased to photograph Kea in flight a short time after taking these images. So pleased with my photos for the day. Love my EOS R6 Mark II. Such beautiful birds, so Intelligent. And remember when visiting any areas inhabited by Kea - Don't feed the Kea."
Shot on the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, EOS 200D Mark II, EF-EOS R Adaptor and EF 100-400mm L II.

Humpback Whale at Paradise Harbour, Antarctica📍🐋 by Paul Harrison ()
Adding Antarctica to our bucket list of destinations to shoot at ✅ what locations do you have on your list to visit one day?
"One of the many highlights of the Antarctica trip was seeing numerous whales feeding on krill around the ice. As they surface, they breathe out with a noise like a large truck releasing the hydraulics. It is thought that they raise their tail fluke to give an extra "push" to their deeper dives. The yellow staining on the underside of the fluke is from algae diatoms. This is typically lost as the whales migrate north into warmer waters and start to shed older skin layers. This photo was taken in Paradise Harbour, Antarctica from a zodiac. Shot in burst mode to capture the optimum tail angle and ensure a fast shutter speed to get the water droplets falling from the tail."
