I was supposed to be back at my sewing machine on the 15th February but due to unexpected circumstances with work I haven't been able to. I apologise for this delay.

For those I have contacted; your order will be sent out as discussed but I will not be taking any more orders for a couple more weeks.

This year has started off with many challenges for our little Whānau but we have some excited adventures awaiting.

Just an update on our beautiful watercolour opal koru fabric.

I placed an order on Friday last week but unfortunately my supplier didn't have any in stock and is currently waiting for more to arrive. So hopefully I will be receiving more in the next couple of weeks. However, I have order the last remaining stock available until next year :(

I think Il have enough to make 5 blankets. If you are wanting to purchase one, pm me and Il add you to the list to be notified when fabric arrives. Once I have fabric, it will be a first in and paid basis.

I thought it would be a good idea to finally show you and introduce the faces behind the brand Mataiti Mauri.

I am Elly Mataiti, the Founder of Mataiti Mauri and this is my beautiful Whānau. I am a full time māmā of two gorgeous girls, Matilda 5 and Cleo 3. I also work full time as a Registered Nurse. I am the one sewing all of our creations and the one you communicate with. My husband of almost 12 years; Alvin is a Funeral Director and works behind the scenes in our business supporting me and caring for our girls so I can spend time sewing all your orders.

The name "Mataiti Mauri, essence of life" was given to us via my cousin. It represents Aroha, Whānau, Courage, Hard Work and Achievement. This describes my Whānau and how our small business became.

I really enjoy showing you all of our creations and we really appreciate the support you have shown us thus far.

It has been a while since I have been active due to these winter bugs circling my Whānau for the last couple months. We have finally come to an end of our illnesses (for now 🤣) yay!! so Il be back to the sewing machine creating some new and exciting products for you all

Say Hello to these adorable lovey teether blankets - cute, soft and completely safe for your little ones.

Lovey is a security blanket your baby bonds with to give them assurance and comfort. A baby must have!

Our lovey teether blanket is made up of a untreated beech wood teether and a double layer of 100% muslin cloth. The Wooden teether is perfect for little hands and will help your baby develop dexterity and will relieve baby's sore gums during the teething phase.

The muslin cloth can be untied from the wooden teether, which makes for easy cleaning. You can also attached your baby's favourite Pacifier for extra comfort. When your baby is older, you can use the blanket separately as a comforter.
