Sometimes it's worth checking out the Baby section even if your kids are a bit older, this toy has been noticed and played by kids aged 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9 years old today! (and Mum might have had a few turns too) 😁

After 9 years on the KKTL committee we were very sad to say goodbye to Alison Taylor tonight. Thank you Alison for the incredible work you have done for the toy library. You have held many roles in your time, and volunteered countless hours. We wish you all the best as you spend more time on your other voluntary work.

We're looking forward to our Annual Toy Sale happening on Saturday 22nd July! If you have any toys you'd be willing to donate to us for this we'd really appreciate it, all money raised will go towards purchasing new toys for our toy library.

The Pioneers from Chartwell Girls' Brigade borrowed some toys last week as part of their Photography badgework.

Age is just a number; imagination thrives as we embrace our inner child, proving that we're never too old to play with toys.

Huge thanks to Tindall Foundation for a grant to purchase cultural and diversity toys! Here are the first toys ready for hire, keep an eye out, there are many more to be entered into the database!

On Tuesday we celebrated our 25th Birthday with a party 🥳during the session. There was cake 🎂, balloons 🎈, face painting 🎨, balloon animals 🦒, colouring, bubbles, bouncy castle and toys galore! A great time was had by all and we’d like to thank everyone who was able to join us on the day.

Toy Library Awareness week is approaching (5th -11th March) and we thought you'd be interested to hear some information about our service...
🧩Kidz Korner Toy Library was originally started in 1998. Since then we have seen hundreds of kids grow up using our toys.
🪆We are financed by membership fees, fundraising and grants. We employ a paid librarian, and are driven by a volunteer committee who love what we do.
🚀We encourage all families to come in and find out more information. We have various membership options to suit.
🤩We can also help with clutter… Joining a toy library is like having Christmas every 2 weeks.
🎳The delight of kids coming to pick new toys or toys they have borrowed 100 times is what motivates us to keep going.
🛝Our toy library currently has 651 toys, for all tastes, from board games, to pretend play, dress-ups, and outdoor equipment. Basically, anything a child can imagine.
🥁We invite all families to drop by for a visit; come on in and see what we have to offer. You can find us at Chartwell Cooperating Church, corner Comries Rd & Bellmont Ave, Hamilton. Our opening hours are Tuesday's 9:30-11:00am, and Saturday's 10:00 - 11:30am.

Hope all those who took summer rentals are enjoying the extended hire! Just a reminder as per last email, we're opening for 2023 on Saturday 21st January. The committee has been working hard doing stock take of the toys, and look forward to welcoming all of the families back to take advantage of all the benefits of belonging to a toy library! If you're not a member yet, pop along to one of our sessions from 21st Jan, and find out what all those benefits are for yourself ;)

Due to a building fault we can not currently access the Chartwell Church building. Please check here before coming in, for any updates on the situation.
