Hi, this is Dennis

I’m bit of an introvert personality, been working as a barista for 10 years. I still enjoyed making coffee behind the coffee machine.
It was a big challenge for me to step up and become a business owner. It’s really exciting and also very scary back in the time.

Right now, It’s been one year journey as a business owner at Demi.
Definitely, it takes a lot of time and hard work behind the scenes. Design the good working plan and better workflow is important for a small cafe like us.

Hi everyone 👋

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, experienced barista to join our team. This person must have at least 2 years experience working at high volumes cafe. Passionate about coffee and providing excellent customer. Person must maintain cleanliness and hygiene standard in the cafe.

In this role, you will work alongside NZ latte art champion 2022. Dennis will help and training you be one the top-dog barista.

“Dirty” coffee is available at Demi’s

I found this drink really refreshing while I was traveling in China. It is one of the popular drink from the menu from GIF coffee.

WHY? It is refreshing drink to serve in summer time. It tastes like dark chocolate caramel coffee beverage with no added artificial sweetener.

How? The secrets of this drink is Eisbock milk, we removed part of its water content from the milk by freezing it. Apply the water rule, when we defrost the milk, the first part of the milk gives us a concentration of high lactose, fat and protein milk. Also, it creates a creamy, sweet and silky body.

Come in and try it during the holidays :)

Please note this drink can only serve-in the cafe to get the best taste experience.

Competitor Signup: Limited to 32 competitor

Competitor Draw: Competitors will be randomly drawn into a bracket at the start of the event. If there are not a full 32 competitors, first round byes will be added to the competitor pool and randomly drawn.

Time limits: 3 mins start from the pour.

Cup size: 190ml acf cup 

Espresso: Double shots Brazil Blend

Competitor requirements: Competitor only requires to steam the milk and pour the latte art. Competitors can not pull their only shots. It will be done by the host’s barista. 

Judges List: Rob, Simone, Malcolm

Format:

Round 1 : DICE (Heart / Tulip / Rosetta / Swan) 

Round 2 : DICE (Heart / Tulip / Rosetta / Swan) 

Round 3 : Free pour

Round 4 : Free pour

Barista take years and years of practice to make fancy art on the espresso. We want to see the best 32 latte artist to showcase their skills at Demi’s.
