This wool and colourway really is gorgeous!
I used this same wool in different ways:

The Bobble Cowl was made using two strands and a bigger hook to make a thicker, cosy fabric

This shawl was made using one strand and a smaller hook to make a fine fabric with a lovely drape.

Hello All 🖐🏾 🏵🏵🏵

It's been a while! 😀

Hope you have all been well and keeping warm and dry in the cold and wet we've had!

The past few months (well, since mid December '23) has been a little challenging for our small family unit.
After many doctors visits, numerous tests, and many weeks of anxious waiting in between, my husband was diagnosed with a rare cancer in March.
After five weeks of daily radiation, then a stand-down recovery period, he had an operation to remove the tumour on 31st July.
Some four weeks post-op, he is doing well and on the road to recovery.

So, I've been general nurse, carer, chauffeur, supporter, housekeeper and doer of all sorts of things.

Needless to say, in the past four weeks, crochet took a back-seat ... and at times I did get withdrawall symptoms!! 😆

As some of you may know, the big C still sends shock waves through one and dealing with the reality of a loved one going through it, isn't easy.
When you don't have extended family in the same country, it can become isolating and feel lonely. However, we've had so much support from our family all across the world, that we certainly weren't alone during this time.
For that, we are forever grateful 🥰🙏🏾

Hospital support was good and the support and guidance from The Cancer Society of New Zealand has been amazing!
To say that we are so very Thankful and Grateful, seems inadequate... but we are ❤️🙏🏾
