We are so excited and happy to welcome Rachel to the Total Vision family as our full-time optometrist. Along with Kent, she is also a practice owner.

Rachel became a qualified optometrist in 2016 and has spent the last 8 years working in another Hamilton practice. She has a special interest in paediatrics, myopia control, and dry eye treatment.

Total Vision will stay the family-orientated independent practice you know and trust, and you will receive the same warm welcome from Gay, Steph, and Rhe at your next visit.

Let's talk floaters!

Floaters can look like little curly lines or spots in your vision, and they can appear to 'float' around with your eye movements.

These are typically caused by clumps forming in the gel that fills our eye (the vitreous), which can occur as part of the normal aging process of our eyes.

So should you be worried? Floaters are usually harmless, however, any sudden onset of many new floaters or flashes of light could be serious. If this sounds like you give us a call today to make an appointment with our optometrist and to ease your mind.

Is your Drivers Licence up for renewal?
We are running $30 Drivers Licence screenings! (Usually $59) By appointment only and subject to availability.

This is a great time to get your vision checked to ensure your eyesight meets the criteria for your driver's licence.
A vision screening will test your distance vision ability (with or without glasses or contact lenses), test your field of vision and perform a screening for any obvious vision problems such as depth perception.

After your screening, (and there were no alarm bells) our optometrist will issue an eyesight certificate that will be valid for the next 60 days.
