Last week, the team ventured to Wellington for an accounting conference, The Gap Reunion, which was of course run by our good friends at The Gap.

Getting insights from industry experts and peers, and connecting with like-minded business owners and accountants, was such a rewarding experience! The team definitely returned home with fresh, valuable insights ready to put into action! 🙌

Key takeaway: It's all about progress, not perfection! The team also learned to be more proactive, and were encouraged to 'look through the windshield, instead of the rearview mirror'. Mental fitness was a major focus! The team was encouraged to embrace anxieties, understand them, and master their management. Lastly, we learned the importance of measuring and tracking business performance. Ask yourself this: 'you wouldn't watch the game without a scoreboard, your business is more important than the game so why don't you have a scoreboard?'

It was a fantastic night, and we are over the moon with all the support received! Together, we raised $6,882.84!

What is your role here? My role here is a client manager.
How long have you been at MHCo? I have been at MHCo for just under three years now!
What did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be in the corporate world of some sorts, just wasn’t sure of what form that would be.
Why did you choose the field you’re in? I felt like it came naturally to me at school as I was top of my class every year 😎
Go to take away food? Lately it's been hells pizza, they’ve got a shop that’s 100m down the road from me so it gets quite dangerous in the weekends 🍕
Go-to morning beverage? Lately has been a protein shake with a shot of coffee poured into it with ice. Tastes great at helps me hit my daily macros.
Hobbies / interests outside of work: A hobby of mine outside of work would have to be golf, especially coming into the warmer weather my mates and I are getting more and more keen to get out there and hit some bombs. As well as this I like to keep active, gyming most weeknights and then tripping around with friends in the weekend 🏌️‍♂️
Current obsession: Current obsession has to be Top Boy on Netflix, not sure what I’m going to do with myself once that’s finished.
