30 DAYS OF SAVING GARMENTS FROM LANDFILL
This cute Jacqui-E Dress would have gone to landfill if it had gone to a second hand shop. It had a dropped hem and broken hook loop.
I used Korobond Instant Hemming & Mending Tape. The tape just needs wetting and you simply iron it on. It’s great for hems where stitching is best avoided.

Three years on youtube this week and over 300 video uploads mostly by Vinnie. The channel is about frugal living, investing, getting out of debt etc. Looking back I can really see how much Vinnie's confidence has grown. I am doing a bit more on the channel these days, mostly uploading shorts/reels of DIY projects and the garden.

Animal skirt nightmare 🦓
Ran out of bobbin, ran out of cotton and got the fabric caught in the foot guide and then I sewed a hem wonky and had to unpick.
Unfortunately they didn’t make it into the parcels in time for a postage free ride to Auckland.

Denise is a self taught eco fashion designer, who started designing up cycled "One of a Kind" fashions in 2008, taking old fabrics, denim and clothing and up cycling them into unique one of a kind designs".
In designing her fashion range, Denise uses raw materials from factories, thrift stores, garage sales and donations. She re-uses these fabrics and garments to make new "One of a Kind" fashion clothing. "My aim is to be kind to the environment with my business practices and to make sure that I purchase new materials required from sources where people do not suffer in the production process".
"I especially love working with denim - there is something universal about it - It doesn't matter where you are from - everyone has a pair of jeans or a denim skirt - and even more incredibly denim is one of the most wasted items that people wear". "If I can just reuse a little of it and remake it into something that is loved by someone - then I'm happy with that."
