A massive thank you to all the LEGENDS that helped out this morning. Great to see so many new faces. Apologies we didn't get all your names, we will be more organized next time.

We smashed the grass and fennel around the top of Conviction and thru Con Air. The beginner jump line is now open again!

Plan for the next few months is to run a big session like this every month. Next on will be on Piki piki Maupuia, date TBC. We will post an event here once we get organized.

For now, enjoy these before and after pics!

Happy new year trail users! The trail pixies have been out fixing berms and clearing the trails over the holidays. Most of the time we can tick away at the maintenance, but the grass around Con Air and the Pump Track got away on us this spring.

To sort it out we are running a dig next Saturday at 10am. The more people we can get, the more we can get done and get things running mint before summer arrives for reals.

Be great to see you there!

There have been some minor changes nearer to the bottom of Jailbrake a couple of corners after the “drop”.
There is a section where the water runs over the trail when it rains and it had become a bit janky.
We’ve upgraded the jump before it to make it easier to clear (blue line) the water way but you can still roll it if you want (red line).
Go ride it and let us know what you think.

Ps. Baxters missing legs gives you an idea of what the jump is like on the right hand side

PNP | Spring Series – Race 2 14/10/2023

FYI.
The amazing Miramar trails are closed tomorrow for some (what we think is) world class racing.
Details here

PNP | Spring Series – Race 2 Yes - there is an All Blacks game on 8am-10am (Free to Air) so we will adjust times slightly... The first race for U11, U13, U15, Social Men & Women starts at 10:00. (Registration: 9:10 - 9:40)

Hey all.
Ya wanna know some more good news about the peninsula.
We’re going to have a quick opening of the upgraded jumps on Conair at 2pm (Saturday 2nd Sept) for a few hours.
We need you to come and try them out and to see if any tweaks are required, so come and give them a try.

25/06/2023

Hi all.
There’s some work going on at “ConAir” (the jump line) so make sure you take it easy.

Heya team - bit of a survey doing the rounds. SCION doing some research into the value mountain biking brings to landowners and communities.

If Miramar is your favourite place to ride, you will find it here under "Wellington - Centennial Reserve".

🌿 Calling all mountain bikers in New Zealand! 🚵‍♀️🚵‍♂️ Scion need your help to spread the word and make a difference. They’re conducting a survey to showcase the incredible value mountain biking brings to our landowners. 🌄

Hi all.
We’re gonna do a bit of a trail tidy up on Monday
People that are keen are welcome to meet at 2pm at the container (top of Jailbrake).
If you’re going out for a ride, expect to see trails closed and also expect to see a bunch of cool people on trails that are open with all sorts of tools.
The cool people have right of way, they’re doing good. So say hello, give them some beers (you don’t have to do that) and be very careful.
Yell out or sing as you go. Something to let them know you’re coming.
No KOMs. Your time will be crap.
Have fun

Thanks to Tom, Greg, Cate, Jack, Jordan and Russ a solid 2 hours on the pump track hay paddock and it is a lot better. Cheers to Matt for giving T**a a bit of love. Solitary is next in a couple of days.

Russ and the Secret Gardner Tom made a start on some grass cutting this avo. Saturday 9am we hope to finish the job on Con Air and then tackle the hay paddock that is the Pump Track before making a start on Solitary. We'd love a hand. Bring a rake and/or a spade and your COVID mask (for the dust). If we can get enough peeps we can make a huge difference in an hour - hour and a half.

Wellington's Community Facilities 02/11/2022

Ever thought it might be a good idea to have public toilets available up near the pump track? Here’s your chance to let WCC know:

Wellington's Community Facilities We’re working on a Community Facilities Network Plan to understand how Wellington’s community facilities are meeting people’s needs now and what might be needed in the future. We want to understand what is important to you about facilities and what you would like to see

Hey Peeps - please spread the word that making changes to the trails without asking isn’t on. Someone made some changes to the lip of the pine tree berm that bucked some folks. If you’d like to help out get in touch. Ben went in and fixed the lip this evening, photo below. All good to go and will pack in quickly.
