Sunset over the cafe. I have made the hard decision to close down the cafe for the season. We’re going to try an extended “winter shutdown” and hopefully things in Napier will be busier and we can reopen for Spring. We just aren’t busy enough, after a difficult Summer season and then the loss of income from the cyclone and slower trading in Napier. Sorry to all of our regulars, we will miss you. If you have unused coffee cards message me here and I can arrange a time to cash them up for you at the cafe. 😭😭😭.

New Hours! We’re juggling things around a little. Sorry to disappoint you with a few closed days but I need to take some time to sit on the phone with my insurance company 😳😳. Still no answers as to if or when our house repairs can start. It’s a slow process.

Our most popular slice!! Blueberry and almond slice. This one is GF, Cakey, not too sweet, made with almond meal and whole blueberries. It’s almost good for you 😝.

I love the sunken gardens in Napier. It’s a little park on Marine Parade across the road from the Six Sisters at the town end. It’s a Super spot to take your coffee and chill out. The gardens are always so well maintained and colourful.

Back to our usual opening hours. We’re here for you when you needs some chats, scones and COFFEE!!

I’ve been feeling a big fragile. A huge tree went through our home during the cyclone and now both my children have moved to Wellington to start their New Years at uni. But I think the best thing to do is to try and get back to normal. So tomorrow morning at 8am we’ll open the doors again at Six Sisters. We’ll have your favourite comfort food and coffee. It feels like forever since I’ve seen all our regulars so hopefully some of you get to pop in tomorrow and we’ll exchange our stories. To everyone else who can’t pop in for obvious reasons we’re all thinking of you.

We reopen on Thursday. We’re trying to get back to some normality. We’d love to see you at the cafe if you’re local. Open 8am. I don’t know if we’ll have the full menu available but we will get together what we can. And an added bonus Free Parking in Napier CBD.

Welcome to Napier

The six sisters is the name given to these 1890s Victorian houses on Napier's Marine Parade. They were built by an architect who wanted a two storey house for each of his daughters. They are among the few survivors of the 1931 earthquake.

The iced mocha is my favourite. We serve our cold coffees 2 different ways. Either poured over ice, or as a thicker more indulgent treat blended with ice cream. What’s your favourite?

Sometimes it’s hard to work with a view like this. I didn’t realise how much I was missing the sun until it came back. It’s been a busy morning, great to see all our regular customers as they head back to work. 🤣🤣.
