The sad part about the smashing last week is the bill came back less than my excess and after lots of back and forth, it does fall under my insurance, small businesses can't afford these kinds of things but we unfortunately all have to pay for other people's malicious damages 🫣

SUNDAY SHOUT OUT this week goes to Courtney! And dessert is on us? Well we don't actually know because Courtney kind of owns Cuteney's Cakes where wee get the vouchers. Rest assured we will find a way for SOMEONE to have a dessert. ⁠

Courtney is by far one of the hardest workers I have seen, constantly working long hours, fulfilling her passion with making the best desserts in Napier, open late...and we haven't even begun to talk about the amount of chocolate and sugar she lifts ON THE DAILY! ⁠

So did you know that we have never weighed a whole Matilda cake before , I know, crazy right, so they weigh approx 5.5 kgs each- to put that into perspective or as I say chocolate lingo- that is 22 blocks of Whittaker's Chocolate in weight!

It's a work out just lifting them in and out of the cabinet.

There are so many different ideas for "Matilda cakes" out there, so an update about ours.
