Use a firm shampooing circular motion to rub the muscles on your forehead (frontalis), above and in front of your ears (temporalis), and at the base of your skull (occipitalis).

Follow the terrain down into your neck and shoulders, squeezing the muscles that connect your head to your shoulders.

👉 Essence Christchurch Update! 👈

It is with sadness that I annouce the closure of Essence Christchurch. It has been a wonderful 6 years and I'd like to take a moment to thank every client who has been through our doors and supported us. THANK YOU!

For those of you who know our therapists well you might already know that Lucy has decided to jet set off and explore this amazing world we live in, and although her personality and skills will be deeply missed, we are incredibly proud and excited for this next stage in her life. Goodluck Lucy and safe travels. ✈️

Esther recently left for maternity leave and Natasha will be joining her on maternity leave in the next couple of weeks. They will be taking a break from massage but plan to be back massaging at SYNRG later this year. 👣👣

What is SYNRG you might be asking? Well, our wonderful therapist Shannon has set up her own massage business and will be working from where Essence is now. We are thrilled to be re-opening tomorow, Wednesday 8th September!

A huge thank you to all our loyal clients who have already been in touch or booked using our online booking system. This week is already looking very busy!

Please take a moment to read the following changes to our clinic space before coming to your appointnent during Level 2.

😷 Please wait in your car until we call or text you to enter the clinic, our waiting area will no longer be in use until we progress out of Level 2.
😷 Hand sanitizer will be provided by the door, please help yourself.
😷Masks are now mandatory, we will be wearing ours and ask that you wear yours too.
😷We will no longer be accepting cash, only bring the bare essentials with you - keys and a card to pay is all you need.
😷We ask that you use the bathroom prior to coming to your appointment if possible.
😷We will no longer be providing water after your massage treatment. We suggest you bring a bottle of water with you.
😷We will have a compulsory 15 minute gap between each client to prevent client cross-over and allow us plenty of time to sanitize and clean our work station between clients.
😷We will continue to wash our hands before and after each client.
