Its with a heavy heart that i wish to advise all my precious clients that my house has been sold and i will cease trading on Dec 9th. My family and i have decided to relocate to New Zealand where i was born. Its been a tough 12mths with mums illness and the 24 hr care i gave her. Now she is gone its time for a new start for me and my family. I will be sad to say goodbye but excited to see what my future holds. Thank you so much for your loyalty and love you have shown over the years. Love to you all. 💕😢💔🌹

I am on extended leave at the moment. My mum is very unwell and i need to be spending quality time with her. Not sure when i will be back, but will keep you posted. If you have appts booked i will be contacting you over next few days.

Benzene is a chemical that can cause cancer in humans, depending on the level and length of exposure. Benzene is not an ingredient in sunscreens but can be a contaminant in raw materials used in the manufacturing process. There is so little information and a lot of people are misinformed about both these types of hair removal. Both procedures target hair follicles under the surface of the skin to curb or prevent their growth. Although electrolysis is the only hair removal method endorsed by the FDA, TGA for permanent hair removal, however laser hair removal is currently the more popular option.

I have always had a cancellation policy but not enforced it. Due to a number of no-shows and late cancellations I will be enforcing this cancellation policy immediately. Online bookings will require a credit card and no shows will be charged the $30 booking fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY
No cancellations or changes allowed within 48 hours of the appointment.
If unforeseen circumstances do occur and we have not been notified within the 48 hour cancellation period please contact me immediately, otherwise you will incur a booking fee. We understand that some events can occur that are out of your control but please note this fee is to COVER costs, your time slot and a closed off window allocated to your appointment slot.

Does shaving facial hair make it thicker?

It has been a myth for many years that shaving facial hair will make it return thicker…
This came about when we where 15-17years old when we shaved our legs and the hair grew back dark and thick. And everyone said “dont shave your legs the hair will become thicker”.

Lets think about this…

It is actually the glandular system that is responsible for thicker darker hair.

PUBERTY is the reason that the hair has turned dark and thick not actually because you have shaved it.

Just like a male who shaves his face. It is not the action of the razor that causes hair growth but in actual fact it is TESTOSTERONE. In actual fact if this was the case don’t you think men would shave their heads when they experience hair loss or balding.

In fact I do recommend my clients shave before commencing a electrolysis session. It actually helps improve the result. The reason we think that hair is thicker is because its being cut off at the surface of the skin where the hair is actually thicker. This will feel stubberly and thicker, however it has not changed the appearance of the hair.

All set for another day of electrolysis.
