WHAT COVID19 LEVEL 2 MEANS FOR FUNERALS
we are able to have funerals with a limit of 100 people for all indoor venues and 100 people at all outside venue, we know the physical numbers will be limited, compulsory scanning on entry, attendance register, masks to be worn, and social distancing to be adhered too, this is certainly a time when Vospers capability to stream funerals to our global community is very helpful to family and friends who can't attend in person.
Our team have risen to the challenge of being adaptable and innovative in order to care for our families in the best way possible, we have lots of ideas to make the farewell of your loved one as special as possible. Call us any time on 06 759 0912

Covid-19
We remain committed to providing our families with the care and compassion in the days or weeks and months ahead under these circumstances and encourage an understanding that there are enormous changes to the care of loved ones and funeral options available at this time.
We understand how important saying farewell is for you. The value of being able to say goodbye in the present time, which is completely different to what we have ever known, is arguably now even more important. We are able to provide alternative options for our families to view and say farewell during this moment in a dignified and respectful manner.
As New Zealand is now entering level 4 of the Covid-19 Alert this means a significant change of care within our funeral services. Sadly, for loved ones it means that funeral services or tangihanga cannot take place during this time. As an essential service we will however continue to deliver professional services.
Our office is closed to the public and funeral arrangements will now be completed differently with very limited, or no, face to face contact. We will discuss with you personally how we will do this at the time.
The New Plymouth District Council have implemented social distancing control measures under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Burials and cremations will still occur however, no family members are allowed to be present at the cemetery or crematorium when they take place.
What has not changed is our commitment to honouring your loved ones. We firmly believe in the value of holding a gathering to say farewell in the future with family and friends. Once Covid-19 is no longer the threat it is today, and the government reduces the alert levels, there will still be huge benefit in gathering together as families and a community to honour those who passed away during these difficult weeks. If someone you love dies during this time, we will be there to assist you to arrange a memorial service when gatherings are allowed again.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss how the situation might affect your wishes at this time, please contact our team on 06 759 0912 so we can assist you further.
Kind regards
Mike, Brent, Jacqueline, Janine and Geoff
A special time to help families of Taranaki that have an illness requiring care at Taranaki DHB Renal unit.
Robert ‘Tiny’ Austin is at a loss as to why his kidneys failed him in his early 20s. He has the same condition that prematurely ended All Black great Jonah Lomu’s life - Nephrotic syndrome. Since his diagnosis, Tiny has been in and out of hospital countless times and has had two unsuccessful kidney transplants – one donated by his wife Neens.
💙
Tiny and Neens’ experience has led them to champion the Taranaki Health Foundation’s Love Our Kidneys campaign to raise $500,000 for enhancements to the new purpose-built, stand-alone renal unit at Taranaki Base Hospital. The money raised will be used for technology and equipment to enhance patient comfort, experience and quality of care.
💙
“Plans for a new renal unit is the best thing ever. It’s important to make people feel comfortable while they’re there,” says Tiny, who receives dialysis three days a week. Neens says “We’ve had many hard times and the renal unit has always been there – looking after the whole family, not just the patients. For that we are so grateful.”
