Perfect condition, never even opened the packs inside lol
There's a slight tear on back of packaging box as per photo (just a heads up if you're considering giving it as a gift).

❤️ WOW & THANK YOU ❤️

The biggest, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to our collaborative knitting project thus far.

Whether it's 1 square or 1 blanket, every single stitch makes a difference ❤️
So far we have collectively created 11 blankets!! AND we have also had a donation of beautiful knitted booties!

These are all being donated this week to Care For Families NZ who will add to care packages going out to families in need (and also distributed through the hospital networks).

We are always knitting and making more blankets so if you would like to be involved, please get in touch and I can hook you up with some wool 🙏🙂

THANK YOU KNITTERS - you are all amazing 🥰

Hello crafters!!

For those who are knitting squares (or even if you just want to meet some like minded crafters) - I've set a date to catch up and start collating squares and stitching our blankets together.... next Tuesday evening, 9th August 🧶🥰

Proposing a casual session - pop in any time between 5.30 -7pm, drop off squares (and pick up more wool if you fancy!), stay for as long as you feel and meet some kindered knitting spirits.

Will have tea & coffee available, feel free to bring anything else if you fancy 😁🥂

If there are any expert stitcher-upper-ers out there... Please come along and give us some advice on how to stitch them together, I've never really done that bit before lol 😂👌
(I have plenty of wool needles)

Will have a heater on 👌

Here are some examples of simple mandalas that I've created 🏵️🌼

I absolutely adore the whole process and tend to create my mandalas intuitively - but there are some really simple tips and tricks to pass on so that even if your enthusiasm is greater than your (perceived) ability, you'll go home with a masterpiece and the tools to develop your skills further 🏵️

So, if you'd love to try your hand at creating your own, come along to this week's classes!

Tuesday evening, 6.30-8.30pm
Friday morning, 10am-12pm

How to Weave a Matariki Star - Matariki Craft for Kids 23/06/2022

Mānawatia a Matariki!

Spotted this easy crafty activity on the Mud Mates page and thought it was so cool that I wanted to share here.

Below is a snippet from the blog post - love the suggestion of making them while listening to the legend of Matariki (available on Te Papa website, link in blog) too!!

"Each year, the reappearance of the Matariki star cluster marks the start of the Māori New Year. However, as to when it is celebrated does vary around the country. A star cluster and not a constellation, there are actually about 500 stars altogether, although there are about seven seen with the naked eye. Also dependent on where you are, your local iwi may acknowledge that there are nine and not seven stars in the cluster.

We thought it would be a lovely activity to weave a Matariki star, while listening to the legend of Matariki and the six sisters, available on Te Papa’s website."

Our whānau will be exploring making our own Matariki stars today and listening to the legend as well so we can learn more ✨🌟✨

PS. If you're in Papakura (or surrounding areas) and able to collect, I have loads of wool that is perfect for this activity - PM to arrange pick up 🧶

How to Weave a Matariki Star - Matariki Craft for Kids We have a beautiful activity to celebrate the start of the Māori New Year – a woven Matariki star! Find the instructions here

How incredible is the magic of a crafty community 🙏❤️🧶

We have received a very generous donation of wool from a lovely local, Helen - to use for our squares!! ❤️

How amazing is that!?

So, I'll have plenty on hand for those coming tomorrow to take home and also for collection any time anyone needs a top up! 🧶❤️

Want to get involved in our knitting for charity, collaborative project?
Hit me up for the knitting instructions or if you need the materials as well I also have a couple of knit kits available 👍

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the first few Crafty Little Classes! 🙏🧡

I'm delighted with the response so far and absolutely LOVE witnessing peeps getting lost in the process and seeing all of the beautiful creations 🥰

There will be a few posts to come over the next couple of days with;

-> the June workshops
-> a knitting special series (great for crafting along at home and getting involved in a collaborative project)

This week there are no classes as I celebrate another rotation around the sun with my family 🎂

Thank you again for you support so far folks and look forward to crafting with you soon!

Huge, heartfelt thanks to the lovely ladies who came along last night for the first Crafty Little Class! ❤️🎨

I can't wait to get crafty again with the Friday morning class (3 spots available!) and to continue growing our crafting community together - thank you all for helping me bring this to life and look forward to crafting with you soon 🥰

Launching next week!!

I've been beavering away behind the scenes, working towards bringing you "Crafty Little Classes" 🙏💛

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a bit like a magpie with shiny things when it comes to trying my hand at different crafts haha... I've always got something on the go and LOVE trying my hand at new things.
Figured there's probably a whole underground network of folk just like me who might like to create a bit of a crafting community.... So here we are 😂

Kicking off on Tuesday 17th May from my home studio, keep an eye out for the event with details to follow (once the paint has dried on the examples!)...

Crafty Little Canvases - we will be exploring the use of vinyl stencils and acrylic paint on canvas 😁

Hope to see you at a class soon!

Samantha xo
