It was a hard week but we got one side sorted before the weekend; with special thanks to Dennis Greenman, Craig Lawry, Mana Hapurona, Angad Bhatia and Eric Nam, who helped carry, demolish, paint, and install the plywood cladding. We were getting behind and needed help to clear the courts by the end of Friday so further thanks go to the team at Designmax Homes who sent four of their builders out to help us get the walls up and courts cleared in time.

Hopefully next time we can get a few more hands involved when we tackle courts 1, 2 & 3 as there's still lots of painting, carrying and general work to be done. As they say, many hands make light work.

02/09/2024

Unfortunately, due to a delay in the delivery of materials, we need to postpone tonight's working bee so rest up. The materials are now expected to arrive tomorrow and we'll be ready to get going at 6pm tomorrow night. If you have hearing protection or painting rollers feel free to bring it along. Also please let us know if you're able to come so we can plan for some refreshments.

Additionally, please note that our social nights will not be running this week as we focus on making the necessary improvements to our facility. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to resume our social nights next week.

Thank you for your continued support.

🌟🐱🏑 A heartwarming Easter story of kindness and love! 🌟🐱🏑

We wanted to share the wonderful news about Phoebe, the sweet kitten who was abandoned and dumped under the Counties Manukau Badminton Association hall. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Immi and Mana, Phoebe was rescued, taken to the vet, and has now found her forever home with Immi and her family!

Phoebe, as she's now officially known, is thriving in her new environment. She is full of purrs, loves to play, and has a surprising fondness for potato chips, just like her new family. πŸ₯°

A huge thank you to all the CMBA members who offered their support and showed concern for Phoebe's well-being. Your kindness has truly made a difference in her life.

Let's celebrate this beautiful Easter and the power of compassion that brought Phoebe into a loving home. πŸΎπŸ’• .
