Best of Luck to all Papakura Bowling Club Members bowling over the weekend in the 2x4x2 Mixed Pairs.

Awesome opening day yesturday. We ran our handicap pairs to get a tournament over and done with. Was good weather for the most part of it.
Ladies winners were Wendy Shaddick and Geri Bremner with runners up Rhonda McIntyre and Ann Raymond-van Daalen.
Mens winners were Selwyn Darwin and Shaun Harrison with runners up Dave Burn and Desmond Jordan.
Plate winners for ladies was Faye Sergeant and Amy Doland. Men's plate winners was Steve Dumper and Karl.

Thanks to all who attended our open day and best of luck in the new season.

Thank you to a couple of life members that came up yesturday to open the season. They did the first roll up on our green. It was a awesome day to get on the green.

Entries for the BCM Open Men's and Women's Fours close next Friday 20th September.
This event is scheduled to be held at Manurewa (and possibly Pukekohe) on Saturday/Sunday 5/6th October.

Evening all we are making the call early due to weather looking horrible tomorrow. So we are postponing tomorrow's event till further notice. We will try find a reserve day when the weather may be better to run it.

With a heavy heart we are informing everyone of the sad news that our member and loving friend Albert Collier passed away on Tuesday.

Albert is holding a memorial for Raywyn Sharp on Saturday 3rd of August at Papakura Bowling Club. The memorial will be held from 1pm onwards to celebrate Raywyns life.

Our Wacky Winter mid winter Christmas that got postponed on the weekend will now be played this Sunday 28th July. Please let me know if you team is still coming. Also we can take more teams if there are now people available that can make it. Remember teams do not need to be made of all bowlers they can be mixed composite and also have non or social bowlers. We just want to get out there and have fun.

We are still going to push through this morning and bowl as long as we can. Bring your wet either gear and warm clothes.

We will be deciding first thing in the morning weather to go ahead with tomorrow or not. As soon as we make the call we will let everyone know.

Just a reminder that there is no indoor bowls on tonight.

Club night is still tomorrow (friday) night 7pm draw at the club.

And for those who are bowling in our tournament this Saturday trial ends will start at 8:45
