Nana’s wallpaper Hot Water Bottle Cover

Made with off-white retro fabric that resembles the wallpaper in my Nana's guest bedroom. This fabric in printed with blue roses, green flowers, and leaves.

It has an inner layer of 100% wool and an outer layer featuring the retro design of blue roses, quilted with gentle waves.

The cover is fastened with a green button on the back, which is from my other grandmother's button collection.

Measurements:

39.5 cm long by 24.5 cm wide

Warm hand wash only, do not wring, dry flat do not place in the clothes dryer.

They enlisted with Courage….
not knowing what lay ahead
Young Men and Women….
for their Country…they led

In all hearts there was Commitment….
…to `never never give in`
helped by Churchill`s inspiring words….
the war they did win

But…to grieve for War Comrades…
the loss was too great
Men and Women sacrificed their souls
…..they were military mates
Tears should be shed….

to respect and honour their memory
…A poppy we place on a War Memorial….
so tender…and lovingly.

Vintage Posy Gathered Apron.

Made with a medium weight vintage green cotton fabric, printed with small posies of white, yellow, and pink flowers with blue stems. Finished with a yellow vintage buckle.

Apron measurements: Top seam of bib 28 cms, bottom of bib at waist is 32 cms, waist ties are each 65 cms from the side of the base of the bib. Apron skirt is 51 cms long by, 85 cms wide.

Monarch Butterfly Door Stop.

Handmade with wool blanket and cotton fabrics. This Monarch Butterfly Door Stop is an unique and useful item to add to your home.

The monarch butterfly is stitched using the ‘raw machine embroidery’ or ‘free motion quilting” method. Different colours of fabric are cut, layered, then the edges are finished with three rows of small stitching. Which leaves the fabric edge raw.

Weighs 2.1 kgs (about the same as a two liter milk bottle).

Measurement: Approximately 18 cms tall, 13 cms deep and 15 cms wide.

Pale blue retro fabric, with delicate flowers in pink, violet, blue and small green leaves. Completed with a cream crochet doily. The skirt of this half apron is pleated and at the waistband.
