💚Bowel Screening- How to test
How to do the test? Below are four easy steps on how to complete your bowel screening test kit!
1. Collect a small sample from your bowel motion (poo) using the test stick, and put it into the tube
2. Put the sample tube in the zip-lock bag provided
3. Put the zip-lock bag, along with the signed and completed consent form, in the reply-paid envelope
4. Post it as soon as possible
You need to return your test kit within six months of receiving it or the laboratory won’t be able to process it.
Keep the sample in a cool place until you post it. It does not need to be kept in the fridge. To prevent any postal delays, it’s best not to send it on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

🎀 Pink Ribbon Day is a great reminder to check your breasts. Each year over 3,400 women are diagnosed with cancer, making it the leading cancer in women across Aotearoa. While breast cancer in men is rare, it’s important to get any lump or breast changes seen by a doctor as soon as possible.
People are more likely to survive if breast cancer is found early, and when it is small. So check your breasts regularly.
