Off The Grid Cooking with Tiff Thermomix Consultant

I’m a Thermomix consultant and a mum of three. I’m hoping to share some of our families favourites made with the Thermomix!

We live on a rural farm which is completely off the grid where we grow our own organic produce and meat to cook with.

It’s been a while since I’ve done any posts. Photos have been taken of the gardening work, the food, the family but when I finally got the time to sit down and do it I was too tired. Well school has finished for the term and the work load will be slowing down so it’s time to do my first post in months. Yesterday we got our two pigs that we ordered from a friend a couple months ago. These arrive gutted and cut in half and my husband then breaks it down and I vacuum pack and label it all. We even have some big cuts that have been put aside for bacon (I’ll show that later). While this is a lot of work, it’s nice knowing where your food comes from and getting all cuts of meat. We have everything from the cheeks, belly, hocks, trotters, and of course the nice cuts of chops, roasts, and fillet. Sausage skins will arrive early next week and the sausage making process will begin. We might be having a pork roast for Christmas this year 🧑‍🎄

If you haven’t tried this recipe in your thermomix you should! Super healthy and super tasty!

What’s your favourite dish in your thermomix?

I saw this and thought: what a great idea! We’ll be trying this over the weekend in preparation for special treats for the last week of school before holidays

Last night I came into the kitchen to find our 12 year old blending, portioning and freezing raspberry smoothies that he can take in his school lunch.

My work here is done. 😎

Edit: for all those expressing concern, he left 1.5” at the top to allow for expansion. We have been using glass for freezing for a long time and while you occasionally lose a jar or two to cracking, for the most part it’s worked out very well. Freeze upright with lids off and then seal once frozen. Wrap each jar in a clean sock so they don’t knock against each other and you’re good to go! 🙂

Who wants a thermomix but the price tag scares you? Well here is a perfect opportunity for you! You can earn a thermomix by jumping on as a consultant and and selling just four machines! Normally you need to sell six so this is a great deal! Plus, there are extra bonuses! When you sell three machines you get the new cutter which is yet to go on sale, four sales is your machine, six sales is a second bowl, blade and lid, and if you are on a roll and keep selling and even convince others to join, you have a chance to earn a second machine which is the new sparkling black (picture to come soon). So message me if your interested and I'll help you start you journey and work towards a free thermomix!

If you haven’t made your own sweet chilli sauce then I would strongly suggest it! I only added 14g of chilli as I know they are very hot! Seeds removed, and it was still very hot and liquify. I added about half a can of tinned tomatoes and perfect! So good that I’ve eaten about 1/4 cup by spoonfuls 😁. Luckily we still had our old sweet chilli sauce bottle so I don’t even have to worry about labelling.

I’ve been a bit slack in posts lately so here are a few things I cooked this week: pumkin and pea macaroni and cheese, crayfish linguine which even my 19 month old loved, slow cooked corned beef with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and mustard sauce, and for a tasty and quick treat I made custard and put grated chocolate on top! I also made three loaves of bread today for sandwiches for the week and will make some cookies Tuesday. Hopefully life calms down as I’ve had some requests for quick tips so hoping to put some videos up- keep following for more

With school starting soon and my workload increasing dramatically, I thought I better plan ahead! These are our dinner plans plus some extras for lunches. I’ve spent far too much money on takeaways and my waistline is suffering as well. I’m hoping to put a schedule together each week of some dinner ideas along with things that you can make for breakfasts, lunches, and snacks.
I would love for you to share some of your favourites

Four dozen mini blackberry muffins, 2 loaves of Tangzhong milk bread, 1 loaf of five seed bread, and low carb breakfast frittata all completed before lunch! The bread and most of the muffins will go into the freezer till needed and frittata we had for lunch with leftovers going into my lunchbox tomorrow. I love having my thermomix!

A friend recommended that I do a stuffed marrow next time we have one. It doesn’t take long to grow one! I googled a recipe and found a Jamie Oliver one. I added carrot and red capsicum and replaced Parmesan with mozzarella. Everyone loved it which is good as they are having leftovers for lunch tomorrow as we didn’t even make it through half!

Chocolate chocolate chip cookies! I made 60 of these today along with 2 loaves of bread and this is all that is left! At least everyone liked them!

Need a tasty and easy lunch for a picnic? This pasta and chickpea salad is great! I swapped the watercress with spinach and used different pasta and everyone loved it! I feel like chicken or salami would be nice too.

Look what thermodette spotted! The cutter is only going to be available as a host reward to start with so let’s book in that cooking experience!

Need a quick, last minute dinner option? Try sweet and sour pork in the thermomix. It’s finished is less time than what it takes to order and drive to your local takeaway shop. We didn’t have capsicum so I added carrots and broccoli to make sure it had enough vegetables for the kids. The only down side is that it was so tasty that there are no leftovers 😢
