A new project is on the cards so I’m seeking genuine expressions of interest on my current Volvo FM 8x4 Crane Truck.

2005 Volvo FM12 420hp, Manual transmission, non-ad blue, crosslocks just over 1 million kms. 50mm ringfeder and full trailer gear – drawbeam cert expires 2034. 6.5 metre deck with 20ft container locks. Ex Allied fuel tanker so very well maintained on service plan and all maintenance attended to. Converted to a crane truck in 2021 and has been very well looked after over the past 2.5 years.

Crane is a 2008 PK44002 with 8 hydraulic booms giving 20.5m reach. 8 ton @ 4.5m & 1170kg @ 20.5m Remote controlled 2 x batteries, factory winch fitted, front leg beam. New crane cert in March and new hydraulic filters. Extremely tidy condition and regularly greased and maintained.

A very well set up and presented unit with ample toolboxes / chains storage, ladder rack, stabiliser pad holders, spreader bar mounts at rear, handwash tank, work lights, flashing beacons, overwidth panels etc.

Ready to go to immediate work and is a very capable unit that is well presented.

There was a distinct chill in the air this morning with the white mud on the ground but it soon warmed up again!

Dismantling a Semaphore railway signal unit this morning for restoration. Lots of telephone lines and 1500v DC overhead lines (turned off) to manoeuvre in amongst!

Got to love these sorts of jobs! Doing tight spaces since ages ago!!

Fabricating new Mack CH bumper mounts to replace the rusty and bent old ones!!

A busy Christmas Eve afternoon working on the new project CH! Pretty sure we've diagnosed the issue which put it off the road so got knee deep into the filth today and made some headway!
