OMEGA® has an onsite IANZ-accredited testing facility capable of weather-tightness testing (NZS4211), hardware durability (cyclic testing), and accelerated corrosion testing. This gives our customers peace of mind, knowing their new windows and doors will withstand New Zealand’s harshest conditions for many years to come.
Our onsite fabrication capabilities include milling, drilling, cutting, full CNC, polishing, welding, and punching services, all under one roof.
Our one-stop-shop facility minimises handling errors and ensures efficient delivery times for our customers.
OMEGA® offers a wide range of powder-coated colours and technologies, primarily provided by Dulux New Zealand . Powder coating is durable, strong, and available in various colours to ensure your windows and doors look great for years to come.
OMEGA® also provides durable anodising finishes that are stylish and protective, particularly in harsh environments. Our Pearl Anodising range is available in natural, black, and bronze finishes, giving you the look and durability you need.
This is where we join our thermally broken sections with the thermal strip. Our thermal strip is made from polyamide and is supplied by Technoform Australia & New Zealand . It offers excellent thermal resilience and structural integrity, ensuring your windows are both warm and strong.

Our in-house design team manages the OMEGA joinery suites from initial creation to ongoing improvements and efficiencies.
Our on-site die correction team ensures that production dies are maintained after each run, keeping the extrusions within tolerance and meeting customer specifications every time.
As New Zealand’s first extruder, McKechnie® prides itself on delivering top-quality extrusions.
Our well-maintained aluminium extrusion presses offer the most comprehensive range of extrusion options in New Zealand.
McKechnie® operates two presses: a 7-inch and a 9-inch, with the capability to accommodate 10-inch designs for specific shapes.
Our state-of-the-art 9-inch press provides local options for larger and heavier extrusion designs. Pre-cut billets are heated before extrusion to ensure optimal material flow through the die, producing our joinery extrusions.
Our onsite metallurgist and quality assurance team work tirelessly to ensure we meet our alloy and temper targets.
McKechnie casts its own extrusion log and billet. The chemical composition is closely monitored before and during each cast using a state-of-the-art Optical Emission Spectrometer, with standards tighter than those required by
AS/NZS1866.
We also use a modern Tensile Testing machine to evaluate material strength, ensuring we comply with all mechanical property standards outlined in
AS/NZS1866.

OMEGA® offers comprehensive services, starting with our state-of-the-art Remelt Casthouse. We maintain full control over the casting process, ensuring consistent quality in the aluminium logs used for extrusion.
By recycling aluminium scrap from our own manufacturing and other New Zealand extruders, we contribute to environmental conservation.

McKechnie has been recycling aluminium since the 1950s. We source scrap from various locations across New Zealand, including waste from other aluminium extruders.
All recycling is done on-site at our remelt facility. Thanks to our ongoing efforts, McKechnie aluminium boasts one of the lowest embodied carbon figures in the world.

DREAMM Windows & Doors, now Omega Hutt Valley , has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2020. What started as a small family business operating out of a garage has blossomed into a significant player in the industry.
Initially focused on installation, they had a dream of manufacturing their own windows and doors. Through dedication and hard work, they realised this vision, expanding into manufacturing in 2024 and becoming an approved fabricator of OMEGA Windows + Doors products.
