As avid gardeners they weren’t shy about getting into the garden and maintaining its beauty. As big fans of well known landscape designer Paul Bangay, inspiration was taken from his style. This intimate courtyard has been designed to relax and enjoy while still boasting that wow factor. We have a rare position available for a qualified landscaper to join our busy landscape construction team with an immediate start. 2-3+ years experience is preferred.

The successful candidate will:
- Have the drive to further develop their career and grow within the business.
- Have good organisational and managerial skills
- Have at least 2-3 years experience in landscaping
- Confident with ability to operate 3.5 tonne excavator
- Have understanding and setting out jobs from detailed designs
- Excellent communications with both clients and Directors
- Ability to organise other tradesman
- Reliable, presentable, team player attitude with a good work ethic
- Have a 'can do' approach to tasks.
- Be hardworking, motivated & punctual.
- Be planning on staying in Wanaka long-term.
- Enjoy free weekends to make the most of living in Wanaka!
- Enjoy working as part of a team.

Opportunity to grow and gain qualification into a managerial role within the company. Work-life balance Monday to Friday work days with consistent hours. Majority of work on new build properties in Wanaka. Potential for salary and vehicle package.

What an evening celebrating our wins at the 2023 Landscapes of Distinction Awards!

Chris and Jessie enjoyed catching up and meeting with other landscaping industry people and would like to say thank you to all the organisers for putting the event together and our amazing team at Lakes Landscapes who worked tirelessly to complete The Heights Project, once again delivering outstanding results.

Lowburn Project - We carefully selected Gypsophila repens Rosea, more commonly known as Creeping Baby’s Breath, to add a pop of colour and contrast to the surrounding rugged Central Otago landscape. The plant blooms with delicate, rose-pink flowers in mid to late summer, creating a beautiful carpet of colour. The foliage is evergreen and forms a neat, compact mound. This plant typically grows to a height of around 10-15cm and can spread up to 60cm, making it perfect for planting in rock gardens, borders, and containers. It’s a low-maintenance and robust plant that thrives in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. This particular Central Otago garden earned us both gold and silver medals at the Registered Master Landscapers Landscapes of Distinction awards in 2021 for our design and construction.
