mud silk is a traditional organic fabric created using a lengthy and meticulous process

after soaking & dyeing the silk in shuliang yam water up to 20 times over, iron rich river mud is bound to the raw silk and dried in the sun
this process can take 10+ days and is only done four months of the year when the weather allows

we are lucky enough to bring this rare and beautiful fabric to you in a range of prints and colours
