The WLG-IX nodes are doing well with utilization nearly hitting 6Gbps this week.

Well, another busy month passes us by as we head towards, dear I say... "Christmas" our new WLG-IX node is alive and we are just waiting on the final configuration and testing to be completed then it’s good to go! Xtreme Networks has taken the first port and NZIX members (current & new) can now order ports through the NZIX portal https://ix.nz

Customers in our facility can take advantage of local peering with purely just the port cost and no monthly cross connect fees within the DC ;-)

Another busy month ahead, over the next few weeks we will be welcoming "WLG-IX" operated by NZIX into our DC, this will be a brand new IX "peering exchange" for the Wellington region and Xtreme has been chosen as one of the two Wellington POP sites!

You wouldn't think all the bits below are needed to get two diverse fibres to WLG-IX's new rack... well they are!

Well it's been a busy, but short week this week, with some great news ;-) our Megaport node "wlg-xt1" is now online and packets are flowing. Xtreme Networks has taken the first port and is now connected to the "Auckland MegaIX" which gives our network more resiliency greater diversity and more routes!

We would like to give a big shout-out to our friends @ Megaport Jed Brintzenhoff Simon Ryan Matt Egan and Keith Brien great effort and great outcome guys well done, so thank you.
