Christmas is always chocka with commissions, this one was my own commission.

Having got an earring loving sibling with Secret Santa this year, I tried some new designs.

Huia feathers, clown fish & her bony cousin, kiwifruit slices and a mini pig and rooster for their nautical engineering history.

The earring holder made from upcycled linen placemats found at a local op shop. A lot of love, re-dos and inpatience at the 1mm hook to make the pig and rooster.

Now I'm jealous I don't have the earrings myself!!!

In the New Year I will start taking commissions again. Potentially earrings will be added to the menu.

Sometimes I can imagine a design and crochet it exactly how I envisage. Sometimes hooking goes sideways.
Aimed for kiwi; ended up with a flightless bird with such little legs to carry a super juicy badonk-a-donk. The poor thing is closer to a crime against nature. Still its a commission for a family member so they will still love me (lol, suckers), plus I've dropped the price by 100%.

I was asked for a cat toy, and given full license to make whatever design. Thus I give you, the Bug Eyed Giant Squid. Absolutely packed with catnip and ready to party with a floof in Queenstown. A truly fun way to spend a quiet day off. Next to Betty for size reference.

A bit of a different drop this time. This little made it onto a tutor's bag before she ran to the airport and go back to Aussie. So definitely intended for a particular person who was such a wonderful help.
