Wondering what to do with your spare freezer?! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Does anybody have a good-condition upright freezer that they don't use and would be prepared to donate to the food bank? We are in the happy state of having lots of protein in our freezers with more to come thanks to some very generous donations from our South Wairarapa farmers ❤️

This has created a shortage of freezer capacity, and we'd love to have an extra upright freezer to help us store and organise our stock.

Please contact us and we will arrange a pick up that suits!

A huge thank you to St Teresa's school for this wonderful collection they held for us on Friday, in honor of children's day.

How's your garden growing?!
If you have excess produce that you can't get through, we would be glad to receive it and pop it into our food parcels.
This can be dropped at the Featherston Community Centre or in with us during our open hours (Tuesday and Thursday 1.30-2.30pm).

Our amazing volunteers are still here for you over the Christmas break!
The only change to our regular opening hours is that we will be open on Saturday 23rd (3.30-4.30), as we will be closed on Boxing Day to give our volunteers a very well deserved break.

Featherston Foodbank is giving you the opportunity to gift a meal on behalf, of your friend or whānau member, in lieu of a present. We will give you a card with the details of the donation made in their name for you to give on Christmas day.

This donation can be any amount, a one-off or time specific (eg for 2 months or 3 weeks). The perfect Secret Santa present!

Come along to the Supervalue foyer on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th Dec 10am-2pm to find out more.

A huge thank you to the whole community, South Wairarapa Rotary and Featherston Volunteer Fire Brigade - Station 63 for a wonderful night on Wednesday! We were so pleased to receive such generous donations to fill our shelves ahead of a busy couple of months.
Pictured is Jaxson (how cute is he?!) meeting his Fire Brigade heroes and Paul from South Wairarapa Rotary adding more goodies to the haul!

We are in need of protein for our clients!
It would be wonderful to find another very generous farmer donate a whole beast to fill our freezer or some mince. We will cover the processing costs.

We understand that shelf-stable items such as tinned meats, beans and fish are often the easiest form of protein to donate and we appreciate these too. Shelf stable donations can be safely left with the Featherston Community Centre.
