While rekindling childhood hobbies; knitting and crocheting, I stumbled onto T-Shirt yarn. The quali
We offer T-Shirt Yarn starter kits with customised colours or yarn and accessories to get you started on your own fabulous projects. I absolutely love hearing about my customers projects and being inspired by them.
I’m really proud of my friend Susan Allison for putting herself out there. She now has an online shop with https://felt.co.nz/shop/craftiquebysue to proudly show off her unique creations. So if you are looking for a unique custom made Christmas gift (yeah it’s that time already) you should get in touch. One thing that makes Susan unique is her vision. Any half finished project, cool fabric or something that isn’t quite working she always good to talk to for some inspiration.
Oooh I love this … let’s hope I can NAIL IT
All wrapped up ready for the next group on entrepeneurs …. Thank you to the locals and out of towners that popped by to supported us. We were inspired by the local pet spa and whipped up a couple of pet tug toys … Next stop Berhampore Knack fare 23rd November
How cool was today?. We didn’t get a heap of foot traffic (construction and no parking played its part) But we did get fabulous friends popping by to support us. So lotsa chattin and chillin over cups of tea and Dee’s fabulous fudge samples. This is our friend and customer giving us a twirl in her fabulous new linen frock from Talk about supporting local and community spirit. Looking fabulous at
Our pop-up shop is just a day away! Come explore our unique, locally crafted and upcycled items. I had the pleasure of working with the talented team at the Craft Cafe and our sponsor Possum Boutique. I even found this charming lounge chair at the tip shop, which held many fond memories. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough fabric to recover it entirely, so I visited the and added extra padding for comfort. Now, it's ready to find a new home and start its next chapter! Craft Cafe Possum Boutique
Some of the cool goodies we will be selling at our store. The lovely Mel on location modeling my hats, snoods and gloves. And the fabulous Susan modeling the Fibonacci earrings. Susan is also displaying her talent with her upcycled kiwi themed denim jacket which she modelling ‘on location’ on the way to WOW 🙂 💕 A shout out to our sponsor Possum Boutique who will also have some of their linen and summer line on sale at discounted prices
Catching up with the ladies at our local coffee shop. We hosted a Craftea for Breast Cancer Awareness I love how Jane is was so chuffed with her cactus pot plant .. ‘twas pretty cool.
This is sooo cool. We get to play shop 🤣 it makes me feel so grown up 🤣I’ll have my merino hats, gloves and snoods, my pure wool blankets, my upcycled chairs and poofs and of course a few of my t-shirt yarn baskets. Sue (Craftique) has been my partner in crime going on adventures to find trash we can transform to treasure with fabric from the sustainability trust. She is a lady of many talents and I look forward to a fun day selling our wares and other treasures made from the Craft Cafe collective… photo shoot next Wednesday so will pop up some pics then x
My model Kaya Thorn is on her OE so I’ve borrowed Bruno from a friend. I’ve been keeping busy making these reversable NZ Merino hats gloves and buffs for …. Wait for it …. not just a stall at a fare … an entire pop-up shop. I am working in collaboration with the Susan Allison and the Possum Boutique to create something special … It’s all about sustainable clothing and homewares. Watch this space for more details. It’s been so cool sharing ideas with other creatives. PS not everyone is a fan of the luminous orange, however turns out great for hunters and keeping an eye on kids on the slopes.
From inspiration to ideas, to changing patterns that were just too complicated. This is pure wool in its raw form… it still smells of lanolin (not everyone in the house is a fan) I ran out of yarn for the crocheted King but managed to finish a small lap blanket. One needs to become something else. So many projects too little time. The woes of a crafter
This one sparked ‘joy’. I got it off marketplace, and just added some really cool dragonfly material from spotlight. I considered sanding it back but the scratched on the arms told a story …. I bet the kid who did that got some stern words. I love the style, it’s so comfy and it’s found a home in my son’s room. I sit and chill while we chat before he goes to sleep. The blankly is also something I’ve tried out…
I’m still trying to get through my stash of t-shirt yarn …. I had fun making these yoga bags. They be on sale at the next Knack fare
Some more goodies from the tip shop. A mocka table and a heavily stained freedom chair… nothing a good lick of paint and a nice new fabric from the fabric warehouse couldnt resolve….these are looking for new homes
From tip shop to treasure. I ended up going with the blue cover…but now looking at the mustard I recon that may be a better choice
And some pottery. These turned out much better than I expected. I’d be very keen to do some more pottery…. not at home though … far too messy (especially how I work)
I took a course at Wellington Community College. It was all much fun. This is what I made at the course. I had had to get the kit….
I finally got the confidence to join the Berhampore knack fare. Inspired by the ladies at Craft cafe. Earned a little moula for my next craft inspiration
Inspired by the ladies at the local craft cafe community group I made 4 of these tents (with a little help from hubby). I was really happy with the results. The tents are now available to hire Amanda at
Getting creative with facepaint
My first attempt at upcycling furniture. Aunty Deb handed down her retro blanked box and my daughter. We have it some tlc and viola. The perfect addition to a teens bedroom
What do you give a uni student for Xmas …. A protea made from moula…. If you are feeling generous, the pink $100 bills will make it look even more authentic 🤣🤣
Wow, how time flies, 3 years since my last post. I had a fabulous few months to focus on my crafts so here you go....
I have a few kits and yarn to send out. I thank you for your understanding while we wait patiently for the lockdown to be lifted.
In the meantime, I will be getting ready for the Spring Knack Craft Market in Berhampore in September....watch this space. Take care
This one hasn't gone quite to plan. It started out as a sock but looked too big....let me see what I can turn this into :) Lets get creative!!
