June 2024: Wine of the Month

Our tour guests couldn't call it this month with two wonderful Martinborough pinot noirs tied at the top!
with their mouth watering Runholder Pinot Noir 2020 and another shout out to a regular winner with Terrace Pinot Noir 2022 are the join winners for June 2024 Wine of the Month.
Both are great expressions of the Martinborough terroir with their savoury components and it's no surprise they were to top picks in what was a sunny but cool June!

May 2024: Wine of the Month

Sauvignon Semillon 2023 wins our Wine of the Month for May. It's not your traditional Kiwi sav and that seems to be just what our guests wanted on our Martinborough Winery Tours.
It's still got a little of that sav herbaceousness but is well rounded with the Semillon which makes it so very drinkable.

What a difference a day makes!

A decent bit of overnight rain in the Kaitoke Regional Park has the Pakuratahi river running high the morning after on our Wine and Wild Coast Tour. By the next day it's down to a much more manageable level where we can see some of the introduced brown trout taking it easy.

Happy to help with wonderful causes such as the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman when we can!
Also looking forward to hosting their auction winners on a visit to Wellington!

April 2024: Wine of the Month

is back on top this month with Poppy's favourite, her Pinot Gris 2023 (shhh, don't tell her other wines).
As always this vintage is a nod to the Alsace region with a touch of sweetness but plenty of flavour. An amazing little drop that was clearly popular on tour with our winery tour guests throughout April.

Our first visit to TRENZ is done and dusted. Awesome to be part of a great team showcasing what Wellington has to offer. Lovely to also meet so many prospective buyers keen to help bring their clients to our wonderful little city!

March 2024: Wine of the Month

takes it out again! This time it's the Sauvignon Blanc 2023 that has been voted Wine of the Month for March 2024 by our winery tour guests who love the big passionfruit nose and the tropical fruit throughout.

The wood fired pizza options at were a hit this Tuesday on our Martinborough Winery Tour. Clearly I've got to be quicker with the camera on tour when the food comes out though as everyone had tucked in before I got a chance to take this!

February 2024: Wine of the Month

The Moy Hall Terrace Pinot Noir (2022) claims the Wine of the Month award for February 2024. This follows on from wins for their previous vintages as well so just goes to show what a consistently great job Phil and the team do!
The guests on our Martinborough Winery Tours certainly love the stuff.

Sneaky peak at the brewery on our Craft Beer Half Day Tour this weekend! Very cool space. Many thanks to Chris for the little tour and tastings of the wonderful Kereru range.

The shared vineyard platter for lunch on our Wine and Wild Coast Tour is still awesome in case anyone was wondering!

January 2024 Wine of the Month:
Better late than never with our first Wine of the Month winner for 2024! Moy Hall Wines going back to back with their 2023 Sauvignon Blanc for January 2024 after taking the title in Dec 2023 as well. Obviously very popular with our wine tour guests over these summer months and a great accompaniment to the awesome tapas style shared plate meals at Moy Hall as well!

Not a bad day out on our Wine and Wild Coast Tour at the Cape Palliser Lighthouse.

The latest cool little stop on our Taste Buds Tour: Petone is a visit to Guy at where our guests have an amazing little look at some of the incredible products from the local area. Last visit was a blind tasting of goat milk versus sheep milk served numerous different ways! We even tried a goat milk chocolate mousse which as fantastic!
Through in some Louder Chilli Oil and a Tumjal eggplant relish and you've got a great truly local foodie stop!

December 2023 Wine of the Month:

The final Wine of the Month for 2023 goes to the Phil and Carolyn at with their lovely little savvy B! Our on tour guests loved the big passionfruit nose and the balanced acidity with ripe fruit sweetness. It's great with a tapas style shared plate lunch in the Moy Hall cellar door which you can get on a number of different tours with us!

Looking forward to a busy remainder of Summer with more wonderful wines on the way!

November 2023 Wine of the Month:

It's back on top!

Each of the last three Rosé vintages have managed to snaffle our monthly prize at some point as per the choices of our winery tour guests throughout the month. This 2023 vintage is no different with it's light red fruit profile a hit heading into Summer!

Come and try it whilst you can on any of our tours heading over to Martinborough.
